We LOVE everything about this place! My daughter has fallen in love with taekwondo in such a short time and I attribute that to the wonderful environment she is in when we are there!
Budokai Academy has given our son confidence and discipline we had only hoped that he would receive. The patience and teachings are phenomenal if you want your child to learn in a family rich environment. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
Our 9-year old started with Budokai about one month ago. We started down this road after some bullying occurred. We wanted her to build self-confidence. Emma and Landon are great with her. We see a change already.
My 5 year old just started the little ninja class and loves it. I actually tried another martial arts class prior to coming here and was pleasantly surprised how much more engaged they were with the younger kids here. He enjoys going to class and the instructors are awesome and make it fun for them.
This spring I taught a short high school culture class about South Korea, Japan and China, so I brought my high school students for a beginner Taekwondo lesson. The three instructors were excellent with my students, were very patient and motivating, and made us feel so welcome. R.J. especially was enthusiastic and encouraging. It was such a great experience! So glad we visited Budokai Academy of Martial Arts!
Budokai is THE place to train in West Chester and Middletown. If you want a place that will train your child to have discipline, team spirit and respect, this is the place. I’ve seen their athletes many times, and they are always respectful, kind, and incredible competitors!
I signed my daughter up about a month ago and it has been absolutely wonderful. She loves all of the instructors at Middletown and Westchester location. Miss Emma is her absolute favorite at Westchester location! She looks forward to attending Little ninja Class! Highly recommended!!
Our two boys have been coming here for a few months now and we absolutely love it! They have some family classes in which my husband can join in with them and also little ninjas for my daughter. All my kids adore Emma and enjoy learning from all the different instructors as well. Sparring is by far all of our favorite😅 it’s a great way for our boys to get their fighting energy out in a safe way while building upon skill and learning to be coachable. They have mainly learned taekwondo but also boxing, self defense and jiu jitsu. Highly recommend this place. Whether you are a beginner or advanced, there is a space for you!
I love The Program scheduling I like that I'm able to have either the option of going just one class out of the week or going to all the classes out of the week and the four week free program is wonderful I love the black belts there they are friendly they are helpful and the community is very friendly to all ages
I was initially looking for a place for my youngest child to get some energy out, but ended up finding a place where our entire family can learn, grow, and feel confident in the things we are doing. The instructors are so patient and accommodating to all of our various needs, ability and age-wise. I am so excited to be practicing in a place that values family connection as much as they value taekwondo practice. I recommend Budokai to everyone.

Budokai is literally the best around here. It is a second family. We are there three days a week and my kids literally ask everyday to go! I highly recommend it there.
We looked high and low for a supportive place that offered family classes so I could participate with my girls. We all love it here. The West Chester location just opened this summer so classes are still very small so you get a ton of one on one instruction. All the teachers are super nice and kind too.
We have three young children, who had no experience. We found a very supportive community and atmosphere. Everyone is very friendly. The teachers use a very positive and encouraging approach to learning. Our kids love going. Highly recommend!
I came to Budokai with no martial arts experience. Starting something new at 35, I find the coaches encouraging and supportive. With so many times offered during the week it is flexible for my schedule too. As someone with asthma their take at your own pace was perfect for me and now it is part of my regular workout routine! I love TKD and working out at Budokai, this second location is closer to job and home making it super convenient too!
Budokai Academy of Martial Arts is the best place to go if you're wanting to train in martial arts. The instructors are very talented, knowledgeable, and committed to helping each student progress in their journey. They are also the best school in the Tri-state if you want to compete at the national level. I started at Budokai as a student many years ago, and now I'm an instructor there.

Budokai is a great place for Martial Arts training. It's more of a extended family when going there. Everyone is great to work with and talk to. If you're looking to attend an elite program in the Tri-State, this is by far the place to be. Stop by for a great experience and a workout!

I have had my family in this dojo for some time now and they are the best in their practice. The instructors are knowledgeable. The coaches are dedicated. The families welcome anyone and everyone. They truly make you feel like you’re gaining an extra family and the skill to become an elite athlete. One visit and you’ll be hooked.
We’ve been with Budokai for 4 year and I wish we would’ve started sooner! Best thing my family has done. Instructors are amazing, welcoming and patient. The amount of knowledge and experience they bring to the mat is second to none! Bring your kids, mom, dad, grandparents, aunts and uncles, brothers and sisters! There is something here for everyone!
