I moved to Chicago about a year ago and my old professor told me to check out Brazil 021. I went in for a trial and right away Professor Andre, one of the founders, welcomed me. He ran the class himself and that hasn’t changed since. A lot of schools with big names don’t actually have the main professor teaching day to day. Here he does. And he doesn’t just stand in front and demo — he pays attention to everyone in the room no matter the level. Somehow he manages to give real instruction and feedback to beginners, hobbyists, and competitors all in the same class. That’s rare. The atmosphere is also a huge part of what makes this place work. People are kind, helpful, and genuinely want to see each other improve. I never felt like I was just another face on the mat. Over time I’ve gotten to know teammates on a deeper level, and it really feels like a community. Professor Andre also pushes you. If you’re just looking to drop in once in a while, sure, you’ll learn something. But if you’re serious about improving, he will hold you to a higher standard. Training here has pushed me further than I expected, and I feel like my jiu jitsu has actually leveled up. In short, Brazil 021 has world class instruction, a professor who actually invests in his students, and a team environment that makes you want to keep showing up. I highly recommend!

I always recommend Brazil-021 to anyone looking to train Brazilian Jiujitsu in the Chicago or Arlington Heights area. Andre, Vini, and Hannette are world class instructors. The school is welcoming, and all the instructors are extremely helpful. They care about their students learning, whether it is competition or self defense. Andre and JT are also excellent law enforcement tactics instructors as well. The Friday night class for police, focusing on law enforcement tactics, should be attended by any officer who wants to increase their capabilities and officer safety skills.

They also have a Women's class self-defense which is great, as a woman know how to defend yourself these days is so important. Professor Andre and Professor Hannette are amazing ,they dedicate their lives to jiu-jitsu. Brazil 021 is an above and beyond

This Jiu-Jitsu school is amazing for kids. Instructor and owner Andres is just really amazing with kids. My 6 year old was on the verge of tears because she didn't want to stay. But because the place and Andres came highly recommended, I convinced her to give it a shot. I'm so glad she agreed. By the end, she was completely engaged and smiling and telling em about how much fun she had. Suffice to say, she is singed up a d happily goes every. And we could not be happier that she is learning self-defense and how to deal with bullies. So I highly recommend this school!

I highly recommend this gym to people of all levels. As a beginner I’ve been exposed to a whole new world. With a combination of tough training and detailed skills, all the professors here have so much knowledge to offer. I always look forward to my days training because not only am I enduring a challenging workout, but the mental clarity I feel after class is one that I haven’t experienced before.
