I would like to express my gratitude to the Bravos club and its coaches. My son started training in 2024; the first year was very challenging for him, but the support from the coaches and the community led to amazing results. We are now in our second year, and he has fallen in love with the sport!
Joined about a year ago, coaches are world class and have created a great culture. 95% of classes have a good mix of weight classes, men and women, and the whole team get behind each other to support each other improving rather than just rolling with ego. I recently moved away but I'll continue to make the trip to attend this gym, it's that good.
This place not only teaches BJJ, but fosters a community mind set where amazing friendships are built. The strength, discipline, resilience and respect that comes is just a bonus. Highly recommended :)
We’ve had such a fantastic experience at Bravos. The coaches are incredibly welcoming, patient and really care about every child who walks through the doors. They do so much more than teach jujitsu – they build confidence, resilience, discipline and respect in a fun and supportive environment. Our son absolutely loves going to class and has grown so much both on and off the mats. The coaches have a wonderful way of encouraging the kids to keep trying, never give up and believe in themselves. We couldn’t be happier with the positive impact they’ve had on him. We highly recommend Bravos to any family looking for an amazing club with caring coaches and a fantastic community.
Bravos Joondalup is a fantastic environment for kids and teenagers to learn BJJ. The coaches are very knowledgeable, are great role models for the kids, would highly recommend. Our son has been attending for close to two years, spanning kids classes to now in the teenage class and he loves it.

Bravos Joondalup is by far the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu gym in Perth. The culture, coaching, and people are second to none. Everyone is welcoming, supportive, and always willing to help you improve, no matter your experience level. Coach Igor and Coach Junior are both world-class instructors. Their knowledge, passion, and attention to detail are outstanding, and they create an environment where everyone can learn, grow, and enjoy the journey. If I had the time, I’d be training there every day. A huge thank you to Igor, Junior, and the entire Bravos team for everything you do. The positive impact you’ve had on me goes far beyond the mats. I couldn’t recommend Bravos Joondalup highly enough.
