Boyer Academy is such an amazing place for martial arts/Tae Kwon Do. Master Matt makes it fun, welcoming, and truly cares for each kiddo in his class. I cannot say enough great things about this place.
My kids have been going to Boyer Academy for 4 years. They love everything about going to the school, My daughter loves Taekwondo and kickboxing, she has been competing for 3 years now. All of my kids help with leadership. Thank you to Boyer Academy for all you do to help kids feel confident and included.

We have been attending Boyer Academy the last 2 years! We absolutely love everything about this place. My son has ADHD and they are so accommodating to each of his (and any child’s) needs! Having our son in Taekwondo has been a great confidence booster and has taught him respect, discipline, and how to focus on a completely different level than how I can teach him as his parent. He looks forward to class each week and the older students are so sweet to him, as he is only 6! Nobody hesitates to help him learn new things or to maybe spend some extra time with him to correct something he isn’t doing totally right. We can’t compliment this place enough and recommend it to anyone who’s looking for classes like this!

Stopped in for a trial class with a group of kids. Both boys had a great time and you can tell how much time and effort goes into this place. Master Matt was great with the kids. Definitely recommend checking out Boyer Academy for your martial arts needs!
My 7 year old doesn’t like to do new things, but when we tried taekwondo, he loves it! He’s so excited to start in Master Matt’s class! He has trouble focusing and sitting still and being quiet so we hope this will help him learn self control! He wants to get all the different colored belts. I can’t wait to see him grow by doing this! I’ve seen Master Matt work with kids who have trouble having self control and he’s so patient with them! We will be sticking with Boyer academy!
If you’re looking for a hardworking place that pushes their limits but also cares about your child as a person and how they’re doing in their life this is the place to go. Matt doesn’t give up on anyone.
We love everything about Boyer Academy. It’s an incredible business ran by an incredible family. They have so much to offer. We now have three members of the household enrolled in classes. We began with my son because he was getting bullied in school. He’s able to defend himself now and stands up for friends that are being bullied. My husband and adult daughter have joined for the fitness aspect as well. Whether you’re looking for confidence boosting and self defense skills or amazing fitness, Matthew Boyer is your guy! And he’s absolutely amazing with the smaller children too. He’s got so much patience and understanding. We can’t say enough great things about the Boyer family.
Boyer Academy has been an amazing place for our daughter. She has built self esteem, communication and leadership skills in a short time here. The Boyers have an amazing set of coaches and Jr. Instructors. Not to mention a excellent kickboxing program. Bonus the gym is well kept and always clean!

I am so thankful we found Boyer. Unfortunately the gym my daughters were attending had to discontinue their youth classes due to COVID. We were worried the kids wouldn’t like the new gym or they wouldn’t feel comfortable at a new place. It has been amazing since day one walking into Boyer. Everyone including the parents were so friendly and welcomed us to the gym family. They have so many levels of talent and offer so may wonderful classes that work with my own schedule.
I highly recommend Master Matt Boyer Academy, he is very good with all ages. He is well liked by all his students. He welcome's all. He definitely has integrity, perseverance, self control, and indomitable sprit.

Master Matt is excellent!! Very serious and very professional when it comes to teaching your children (and adults) Martial Arts the correct way. He is very hip and tries neat new things to keep the experience fresh. Definitely not a boring and monotone experience like others in the area have the reputation for. My kids love coming here!

If you enjoy paying for hour long classes and only getting 35 minutes, this is the place for you. If you want an easy path to a black belt for your child while not learning a thing, this is the place for you!
A family member had been attending Boyer Academy for the last 8-10 years. I set up my bank account for autopay with Boyer as an ongoing gift for him. He decided to discontinue his classes in July 2018 and let them know that would probably be his last class. I continued getting billed for his classes until November 2018 when I contacted Boyer academy (by phone, leaving 2 voicemails since never responded to my first voicemail) requesting a refund for classes since he hadn’t attended the last 4 months. Casey respond (by email) after my second voicemail and she stated there would be no refund since I did not provide a 30 day written notice to stop billing. Technically, his membership expired in 2016 and I never signed anything after that in regards to the 30 day notice, when I mentioned that Casey didn’t seem to care. I responded knowing this is a family owned business and they should respect their customers stating that I am now concerned why they would not contact him after not seeing him for 12 missed classes. I never walked in a class, never met them personally, never even spoke to them over the phone (since they would only respond to my voicemails with emails) but want to warn any potential clients that I would not trust them with autopay or advance payments. Also make sure they are not overcharging you, they did that in the past with my account for months. Pay class by class. I hope writing this review can help any potential students avoid financial misunderstands. 12/27/18 Reply Casey, reread my review and you will see that there is nothing bogus or false about my review. Yes, you are correct, we do have email proof that my review is not bogus. Yes, you have resolved the issue in a unsatisfactory way especially for a student/customer who had been so loyal to your company for so many years.
