Great group of young and older martial artists. Working with and teaching young children of all ages. Adult classes are also available. Honor, discipline, and respect are taught here. Wonderful place.
My son goes here, I like how he has changed, it is a great place to start showing discipline to my 4 year old son.
My grandson has been training there for several years. The results have been spectacular. The martial arts aside, he as learned to focus, help others, and be a leader. These are traits that will serve him well as he grows.
My grandson has been attending class here for over 3 years. It has been the best thing for him. The instructors are amazing and he absolutely loves going to class.
Great place for all ages. Good for young kids
My Daughter loves coming here, great instructors always prompt to starting class and finishing on time. I have referred a few others to join and they have said the same. I do appreciate everything BMC has done for my daughter so far. She has built confidence and skills through her training and she has made some nice friends along the way. If you want you child or yourself to have some serious fun then BMC is the place for you.
My son has been taking classes here for 3 years. The instructors are fantastic with the kids and everyone is very friendly & helpful. Great front desk staff. Hands down best martial arts school around.
This place is great! Nice facility and lots of class options for all ages!
My grandsons have been students of Boyce’s, starting as very young boys. They have learned and grown so much through the program. They have learned to push their limits and strive for more. They are both black belts and have shown leadership, growth and compassion towards their fellow mates. This is a well run program. Master C’s passion shows through everyday. And she has an outstanding group of instructors.
My son has never been interested in any team/ball sports like soccer or basketball, but we wanted him to do something extracurricular and active and he loves martial arts at BMA. He’s been attending for 2.5 years now, and is in the leadership program. The instructors challenge the kids, they keep them moving the whole class, and they have fun, too. It’s a positive atmosphere.
Amazing instructors! A fantastic form of personal growth for children to adults.
Boyce’s has been great for our child. It is a very organized academy that teaches our child self-discipline as well as martial arts, all while having fun! The instructors and staff are very nice and caring not only in our child’s work in class, but also with our family overall. I highly recommend this academy!
Boyce’s has a great atmosphere for children to learn martial arts and self discipline! The instructors all work well with the students and care about their success on and off the mat. The staff makes everyone feel welcome and a part of Boyce’s family. They hold multiple events for children outside of the normal classes such as camps or movie night and give parents a break. I highly recommend for children and they offer adult classes as well with many special demos!
We have been attending BMA for over 5 years. My 10.5 year old is now a 1st Degree Black Belt. His involvement encouraged my husband to also begin classes as an adult, and he is now an instructor. BMA is a family, and the instructors are amazing.
My son has been a student at BMA for 3 years. He is promoting to Black Belt decided soon. We have had a wonderful experience. The instructors and staff care about the students and are always willing to help.
Awesome environment Great instructors Variety of classes
The instructors were wonderful, and the facility was welcoming and well-maintained!
Wonderful instructors for kids AND adults.
Just signed our kids up for classes here, super friendly staff and really nice facility. Been in business for a long time and very knowledgeable and caring owner!
My kids started here beginning of last month and are ecstatic to come! The professionalism and grace that Boyce's Martial Arts has shown during this pandemic is amazing. They have paid extra attention to every detail and keeping g things clean and up to the guidelines. My kids are so excited to have a place, especially right now that gives them some normalcy during this time of uncertainty!
My son has been going to Boyces for a year now and loves it so much. The instructors do so well with teaching the kids confidence and on their Karate skills. My son has learned so much in the past year and loves working towards new belts and the Dragon drills.
My children and I attended this facility and if it weren't for medical issues , we'd still be going. This place taught self control, discipline, and amazing skills for all of us in a very fun environment . It's truly not just a place that you're considered a customer. You really grow to be a family. Highly highly recommended.
My daughter has been at BMA since April 2019 we have enjoyed our time while there and my daughter can’t wait to earn her black belt! The staff is friendly and are quick to resolve concerns.
I would recommend Boyce’s Martial Arts to anyone looking to get their kid into martial arts. My son has been at Boyce’s for a year and half now. He loves going to class and he loves all of his instructors! They are so good with the kids. I’ve seen a huge improvement in his physical endurance, concentration, and confidence. He’s really looking forward to working towards his black belt!
This is an amazing academy! The instructors are knowledgeable and always helping the students. My son has learned alot, not just martial arts. He has learned many skills on how to be a better young person. I highly recommend BMA to anybody looking for a life skill.
I'll start by saying BMA is an amazing place. The instructors are incredible and they truly care about each and every child they teach. I have 2 boys, ages 8 and 6 that attend & the confidence it has given my children is amazing. They have helped them believe in themselves more and know they can do anything they set their minds to. My oldest said in a conversation with my dad "at martial arts I matter, I'm important and they believe in me!" As a parent all you want is for your child to believe in themselves and know they can do great things. To have a place where you can take your child and they feel safe, confident, & important. I can't wait to continue our journey with BMA and see all the wonderful changes in my children and the things I know they will accomplish.
My son enjoys the classes and has fun as well as learning. Staff is always willing to answer questions.
My daughter has grown so much since she started here. Boyce's is a great place for kids and adults. I love how much they care for the kids they teach and the time the spend helping them learn to grow.
My son has been going here for more than a year they are great with the kids and I feel he gets a lot out of the program and most of all he looks forward to every class
I t is a perfect place for me to learn At because it is really fun and interesting I really recommend it if you want to learn martial arts
My son has been attending there for about 6 months and his instructor has taught him respect and discipline - what a truly amazing change we have seen in our son. Thank you BMA
I used to go here and I was in their add on their youtube channel from 2011 although I went there around 2008. It is great, I learned a lot and still remember all the material I learned 9 years ago.
Great place for children as well as adults to learn Martial Arts, no matter what level of experience they have. BMA provides a safe, fun, and encouraging learning environment, while at the same time challenging students to work hard and improve their skills. I am starting my second year of instruction, and am getting into the best shape of my life. I highly recommend Boyce's Martial Arts.
My 5-year-old daughter loves her classes! For her age group, Boyce's has the perfect balance of high expectations with kid-friendly instruction. It's loud, colorful, high-energy, and FUN. I couldn't be more pleased with our experience. I've also taken part in some of the adult classes, and you could not meet a nicer, more helpful group of people. But it was definitely challenging! If you're looking for real-world martial arts training, look no further.
My son has been attending classes at BMA for almost two years. We had no previous experience with martial arts and this academy has been wonderful. The instructors are well trained and knowledgeable as well as friendly and great with the students. My son has learned discipline and is building his skills not only in martial arts but on becoming a well rounded citizen. There is an emphasis on community, character as well as physical training and abilities. I recommend Boyce's Martial Arts to anyone considering this type of training.
We enrolled our 5 year old a month ago in the Martial Arts program. Its hard to read the prior review because I do not see this program in any of that negative light protrayed above. They keep the children moving and change up the activities to keep then interested an excited about the class. I have been to a few other schools where the children stand in line and wait for most of the class. Im not paying for my child to stand around doing nothing.. so kudos to Boyces for truely filling up my childs time and not wasting my money. The contract although inconvient if you want to back out of it... it holds me accountable for my childs attendance... and amps my motivation to keep him involved. From what I can see.. I do not think the students run the classes.. I saw "leadership" on the shirts of a few students helping out. I believe this is part of the growth and acheivement process not some sort of cheesy child labor. Anyway, on a personal note.. although Boyces may be on the tad more expensive side of the local martial art schools.. i truely believe that you get what you pay for. And so far we are not regretting any decisions we have made to join this school.
As a student it is fun and we get to do exercises every day we go
Disappointed with the Experience and Customer Service We enrolled our kids at Boyce’s Martial Arts in November 2024 after paying $19.99 for a trial class, which turned out to be more of an orientation/test in an office rather than an actual class where they could interact with other students. Afterward, the owner explained the pricing and contract options for either a 6-month or 12-month commitment. We opted for 6 months, paying over $400 for uniforms and committing to $283 per month. Unfortunately, after attending for a while, we felt that our kids were not learning enough, and they were also not enjoying the classes. When my husband called to discuss canceling, he spoke to a staff member named Tanya, who was extremely rude. She stated that the only valid reasons for cancellation were moving or medical issues. When my husband explained that we were unsatisfied with the classes, she dismissively said, “Well, they’re only white belts,” as if implying that they should just stick it out regardless of our concerns. We were then told that we still owe over $500 to fulfill the contract, even though we are not happy with the service. I find this completely unfair if a customer is not satisfied, they should have some flexibility instead of being forced to continue paying for something that isn’t working for them. There are no benefits for the customer in this contract, only obligations. I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for a flexible, customer-friendly experience. If you’re considering enrolling your kids, be aware that once you sign the contract, you’re locked in with very little room for changes, even if you’re unhappy with the program. FYI: The membership total for the 6 months contract was $1,813.50 for two kids. Btw. They also need to improve the waiting area. It's always crowded without enough place for seating and the parking it’s the same way.
Total scam. Signed up for 12 months and somehow they say we did for 18 months. Huge money pit. Heard so many people say similar things. Surprised to see such good reviews.
