My young son took lessons here. He learned respect for others and got to the point where he broke a piece of wood with a chop of his hand. He was 7! He grew so much more confident!
Also took a group of teen students here for a class on self-defense and street smarts. It was excellent! Mr. Booth packed in the information and they practiced the moves too. The students left empowered. Can’t say enough good about this dojo.
Great place!
We enrolled our son nearly a month ago. He loves coming to this place and my husband and I do as well. They have a whole life skills implementation tied into the sport. The instructors are friendly and really great with kids.
We absolutely love Booths. We were previously at Bobby Lawrence and we did not have a great experience. I was nervous about switching here but Booths has exceeded my expectations in every aspect. They have taught my son discipline, self esteem, pride in himself and hard work. They have the same teacher every class and so many options of when to take class to make it work for your schedule. Absolutely love Booths and would recommend to everyone!!
I've been practicing at Booth's ATA for a few years now, and I have no regrets getting back into martial arts through this school. The environment is always so welcoming and energetic, and Mr. Booth always makes sure that everyone has fun during practice.
I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to try martial arts, whither you're a kid or an adult.
It is an awesome family friendly place and great for kids. The instructors just work so well with me and my sister, and they just love each and every one of their students, and want them to grow in their skills, learning, and goal setting skills. They teach many different attributes in their classes that all kids should learn like Communication, respect, honesty, self esteem, and discipline.
Sensei Booth, in American Fork, is one of the best teachers I have encountered in this industry! He is patient, yet firm and has a great afinnity working with kids. I would recommend his Dojo to any level of practitioner.

My granddaughter is no longer living near this dojo, but she still is working on her belts in karate. This was taken about 7 years back? Anyway, Booth Sensei’s teachings and patience were the catalyst for a life long love for martial arts. Thanks Sense!!
Tigers class is great! They have a great focus on personal growth and care for each one of thier students
I've been attending adult classes for about a year and have been impressed with how the information delivered is tailored to the students. I've learned much of the same content the tigers and youth do, but worked on the finer points as well
My husband and son both take Taèkwondo from Booth’s ATA. And my daughter takes and is also a instructor. Booths are open and willing to help everyone. :)
We have been going for 5 years now! And have been happy with it.
Our kids have been coming for several months now and we have been incredibly pleased with Mr. Booth and the way he runs this program. He is wonderful with the kids, highly encouraging and operates with a high level of discipline and accountability for the kids. There are a lot of options in the area and I feel fortunate we stumbled on this place. I have not tried the adult sessions but might get off the lazy train and start because after 2 kids anyone in the family can train. We highly recommend Booths ATA!!
Great place to train kids and adults. They promote the discipline of the body and the mind. My kids love to train and when I have time I can train with them. I can also go to the adult class too. It is the best of both worlds for me.
Both of my kids love coming here. Amazing teachers. They really work with the kids to make sure they understand. My favorite is bully prevention. Thank you!
Almost a year ago we transferred from Provo ATA to this location. We loved the program and my son really enjoyed the classes.
We met with Mr Booth about working my son toward a black belt a few months ago and we were ready to move forward. The tuition was estimated to be roughly $600 a month! We were so shocked to hear that an extra 30 minutes per class would more than triple our current price. Mr Booth must have seen the shock and stated “oh I forgot your son is a transfer student so it’s half of that”.
I shared my son was interested in doing other sports and what if we wanted to leave the program during that time, is there a holding fee or anything we should know. I was told we needed to give notice and would then be charged an additional month but if we returned at any time, the “scholarship” would be voided and we would be expected to pay $600 monthly.
We thought maybe it would be worth it to keep paying through seasonal sports.
Well, here I am. Unfortunately leaving this 1star review after months of my calls, emails, and texts being ignored. My son has wanted to peruse other sports and coming from a split household the other parent has stopped paying their half, it didn’t make sense to continue. We finally went in person to discuss cancellation where immediately upon meeting with Mr Booth he asked why we didn’t want our son to succeed, were being manipulative and that they “don’t do cancellations”. It was shared that this has become a financial burden and the response was “pre-pay, use credit cards, find another source of payment.”
This clearly shows that this facility does not care about you or your children, only money.
I suggest finding another taekwondo studio in the area. Don’t get taken advantage of by Mr Booth.
