Bonsai is the best! The instructors are knowledgeable, friendly, and great teachers. Everyone has a great attitude and it has been a great place to learn.
Bonsai is a wonderful place to train. My daughters and I have been there for roughly six months. The coaches and professors are excellent at what they do. The school melds a serious training attitude with genuine care for one another. I would recommend this to anyone locally or if you just want to pick up some mat time while you are in the area!

Training at Bonsai Jiu-Jitsu Academy NC has been life changing for me. The academy provides a safe and welcoming environment for families. The professors and coaches are exceptional, the community is fantastic, and the overall culture is remarkable. I walked in as a blank canvas and over a short period of time (under 1 year) I have pushed myself and have had success at multiple tournaments. Bonsai is like a second family to me and I highly recommend this academy for anyone looking to challenge themselves.

Super dope gym! The structure for your training is like your typical gym. Warm ups, drilling then rolls. The gym was filled with awesome training partners and really had that family vibe. Everyone was so nice to me and introduced themselves immediately the moment I stepped on the mats. Professor Woods is a great teacher and even went out of his way to break down some mistakes I was making during live rolls and how to improve them. 10/10 would recommended and will definitely be coming back here again! If you’re looking a solid place to train in Eastern NC this is it! From kids to adults you will not find a more knowledgeable and passionate Coach than Ruben. The facility is clean and the environment is welcoming to all!
As a first timer and a newcomer to the area I felt surprisingly at home and well guided at this dojo, after weighing some options I decided to stay here, the curriculum is adaptive to your experience level, nonetheless everyone is helpful and driven to improve offering a wonderful harmony of progress and a light atmosphere the vibes are awesome, the instructors are very vigilant and wise. So far everyday I have attended I have progressed so they gotta be doing something right. Aside from purchasing my own gear the membership itself is pretty inexpensive compared to several other gyms I’ve looked into.
Best jiu jitsu places hands down! Awsome atmosphere for younge and older kid and adults. Friendly place, awsome coaches, and great rates! Really recommend!
