BMA is a friendly, very well run dojo by Craig & supported by a young enthusiac team of members. Our boys learnt confidence, respect and discipline whilst still having lots of fun. They enjoyed the summer beach karate sessions too! Highly recommended!

BMA has been great for my son’s focus, coordination, strength and confidence. It’s a great community feel and Craig Compton goes above and beyond to provide opportunities for the students to learn, challenge themselves but also to have fun. There are a lot activities beyond the simple classes to help keep kids ( and adults) connected and motivated- beach sessions, laser tag and pizza reward nights, Xmas party, movie days etc. you can tell this is a passion and not just a money making enterprise and Craig clearly cares about his students’ development. Highly recommend! Updated Review for birthday parties at BMA We just had a laser tag party for my son's birthday at BMA. The kids had an absolutely amazing time.. Craig and his staff ran all the laser tag games, kitted out the kids with headbands and laser tag guns, and kept the kids entertained for a good hour. There was no need for the parents to worry or help with supervision, as the highly experienced team are used to managing large groups of kids, both at martial arts lessons and when running laser tag games. The absolute highlight for everyone was when sensei helped my son cut his birthday cake with a real samurai sword (the sword was cleaned and the cutting closely supervised, of course). The kids had a great time from start to finish, time and even got to keep their headbands. It was not stressful at all, for us in terms of organisation or for the other parents, who could just sit back and chat. All the set up and clean up was taken care off by BMA staff… all I had to do was set out the food and drink I’d bought. My son felt very special, and it will definitely be a memorable birthday for him. It is a great option for a winter birthday party, being undercover. Definitely a great party option.

I can't recommend BMA enough. My daughter has been going to BMA for 3 years and it helped so much with her confidence and helped her gain strength with her hyper flexible joints. Plus she has made friends while coming here.

My son (now 12) and I (late 40s) joined BMA over 5 years ago. The Dojo has a welcoming atmosphere and is very family friendly. The extensive knowledge of Shihan Sensei Craig and his constant upkeep of his own studies shows and translates in his teachings. Knowing his background reassures authentic and approved teaching in both practical and theoretical studies. Besides its excellent training program, BMA offers great Adult social gatherings. BMA's connections with other Dojos, makes it possible to extend your training through special Seminars and to learn of Guest Instructors. BMA's kids program offers age appropriate training, games, Loyalty program, reward parties, beach training during summer holidays, anti bulling courses, Christmas party and offers many more benfits. We can't recommend BMA highly enough.

Our boys started training with Craig at BMA about 8years ago, they are now black belts and both young adults. I cannot recommend highly enough the skills and training they have undertaken under Craig's guidance. This training paid off when our youngest son was assaulted and could protect himself from further harm (without hurting the other party). I encourage parents to enrol their kids young and persevere, these are life lessons and can be life changing. Well done Craig and team.
