Starting something new at any age is one of the hardest things to do, but here at Blacksails it could not have been easier. With step by step instruction from the start of the 8 week course to having the confidence to join in the main class after it has all been excellently provided. Great guys, great place.

Started a 8 week beginners NO-GI BJJ course here at Black Sails. Never really been in to any contact sports and as expected the nerve were there, but soon went as was made feel super comfortable from the get go. Learnt loads and gained mad confidence over these 8 weeks and I’m looking forward to dropping in on the main sessions and open mats. Any body thinking of starting but are worried as they’ve never done it please let me reassure you jump on you won’t regret it !!’

Trained at multiple gyms around Norfolk over the last few years. These guys are always welcoming to a drop in, sadly they're a bit out of the way for me so can't get down more often. Great coaching, very respectful and friendly, great atmosphere. I'd recommend them to anybody!

Would highly recommend the club and if you're new and thinking of starting jiu-jitsu definitely give it a go. It's changed my life positively in so many ways and my family and friend's have commented on this also. Blacksails as a club is really welcoming and caters for complete beginners all the way up. There is so many benefits to jiu-jitsu physically and mentally so give Blacksails a go and start your journey, hopefully see you on the mats.

A great place to learn BJJ. I have trained in other local gyms and this has been the best for instructing, venue, gym culture and general gym hygiene. The group has been very welcoming, and great fundamental instructions with a wide range of experience. The gym itself is typically busy with >10 people each session, meaning you train vs a wide range of styles. Highly recommend giving this place a try if you are interested in starting the BJJ journey, especially if you want to do no gi.

I joined BlackSails at the start of 2024 - as a complete beginner everyone at the club made me feel welcome & has helped me over the past 6 months. Great fun and would encourage everyone to try BJJ for not only physical health but mental health too! 🏴‍☠️

As a new member was made to feel extremely welcome. Such a friendly atmosphere all round. The coaches and other members all go out of their way to include you in everything. Recommend to all to pop down and try it too .
