My son has been attending this facility for a little over a year. He is always very happy and is learning a lot of cool techniques. The staff is amazing. My son will forever be a part of this family!
This place is wonderful!!! My kids love so much to go there! My youngest daughter is looking for so much to complete 4, so she will be able to enjoy the group 😊

If you're looking for JUST a taekwondo studio, sorry; Black Belt Center isn't for you! You see, when you enroll your child into Master Carlos' wonderful program, you don't just get martial arts lessons, you get Master Carlos and Master Tim. Two of the most patient and energetic instructors I have ever had the pleasure of meeting! Along with excellent classes, you also get a pair of bonus grandparents! Ms. GiGi and Carlos Sr. are an absolute pleasure and are so warm and inviting! They're patient, kind and treat every single student like they're an extension of their own family! Ms. GiGi picks up my son from his school daily and ensures that his homework is completed before he can start his much anticipated martial arts lesson! So in a nutshell, not only is Black Belt Center an immense value, the level of care and dedication shown by all at B.B.C is immeasurable and unparalleled! Thank you guys for everything you do! 💙🥇
As part of a German Taekwon-Do class I had the opportunity to participate in a lesson of Master Carlos. We liked it a lot and looking forward to meet him again.

My daughter burst through the door!! A new tae quondo studio was relocating to our neighborhood!!! ...I didn't know it yet, but a passion 20 years dormant had awakened with a ROAR! Master Carlos has a way of captivating students and audience alike. Emphasizing strong mind strong body, mutual respect, setting and achieving individual goals through hard work and commitment...all leading to successful human beings. His parents run after school programs and summer camp. They are the absolute warmest most beautiful souls on the planet. His wife black belt miss Debbie has boot camp on weekends. Mr. Tim is his side kick also a black belt molding minds and teaching the beautiful ancient sport. I cannot express how much of an effect they have had on my family my daughter I just want to say thank you so much for giving me my daughter back
My children and I have trained with Master Carlos for many years. He is very knowledgeable, patient and pushes you to be the very best you can be. I highly recommend his Dojang.
Master Carlos is by far the best Taekwondo instructor in town. We have had my 6 year old training with him for a year and we have seen a huge improvement in him socially, physically, and emotionally. My son loves coming to train and the family owned environment and atmosphere is very warm and welcoming. We have been to other Taekwndo schools with our son, and none compare to this. We go out of our way to come here. Highly recommend!!
Best instructor anyone could ask for. All other assistants and black belts are always helpful. The environment is friendly and inviting. You do learn a lot while being apart of a taekwondo class because they take the time to explain things to you

There are not enough words to express how wonderful Master Carlos and team are! My daughter and I started training with them when she was 3. She’s now 7 and still talks about her Tae Kwon Do family and that’s exactly what it is. From the minute you step foot in the door there is a feeling hard to describe. Not only do you leave feeling empowered, but the values and lessons they teach are priceless. They truly have a passion and it shows in everything they do. They are incredible teachers, mentors and friends and I’m just so blessed we found them! ❤️
I have been training with Master Carlos for the past thirteen years and have loved every second of it. Having trained since I was a child, Taekwondo has taught me many valuable life lessons such as discipline and self-confidence. Even as an adult, I am always excited to come to class and learn new ways to push my body and become a better martial artist. In addition to providing a great and effective workout, Master Carlos has established a friendly and welcoming environment for both learning and making friends. The Black Belt Center of Tamarac is like a second family to me. I would highly recommend for any and all age groups looking to exercise and have a great time doing it.
Words can not describe how amazing and dedicated the teachers are !!! 35 + years of experience speaks for its self .By far best Tykwan-Do school in town !!! Adrian has been with them over 2 years and it's been amazing experience!!! From the summer camp, afterschool as well bootcamp to self defense what can I say is that we would not train under anyone else !!!! Love love love this school!!!

Awesome instructor, best Martial arts school around.
My son has trained at this school for five years! My family moved two years ago; out of curiosity I checked out a few schools CLOSER to my new home ONLY to avoid the Sawgrass Expressway, but NONE compared in affordability OR instruction, so we're driving eleven miles, passing several martial arts schools in order to continue the consistently detailed EXCELLENT instruction we've been receiving here! The instructors are very personable, knowledgeable and fun! They LOVE Tae Kwon Do; they LOVE teaching it, and it shows! The students enjoy being here! My son loves all the games, crafts, additional training and trips summer camp has to offer as well! I'm comfortable leaving my son here with friends he's made and trained with throughout the years! I recently started boot camp/physical fitness here and after just two classes, I feel GREAT! It's been a blessing, and I'm proud to be a part of this extended family!
Master Carlos is an amazing instructor both in his knowledge of Tae Kwon Do and in his ability to teach and train his students. Master Carlos has the core values that Tae Kwon Do represents. I have been training with Sa Bum Nim Rodriguez for almost 10 years and have been affiliated with him for more than 35 years. Unlike ANY other workout I have tried, I actually enjoy the classes and look forward to them. Tae Kwon Do really has helped make me who i am today, someone who has confidence, integrity, and courage and it may sound silly but Tae Kwon Do helps me to maintain those qualities which (we are human) are not always easy!!! Thank you Sa Bum Nim for everything you do and the many lives you have helped shape!!!!!

He is dedicated to his students, he is dedicated to the parents. He is fair and patient. He pushes you in a good way. He builds confidence in your ability. Tim is also a very good teacher. I have been going to this school for at least 6 years with my daughter and we love it. Master Carlos is very knowledgeable and knows how to get the best out of you even in a group lesson. This has become our second family.
A few years back my Autistic son was verbally abused by the assistant instructor. When my wife and I questioned the man, he told us he is in charge and if we had a problem he was a man and could handle it. We told the head instructor, nothing was done. We left the school. I received a message asking me to remove my negative review because the school was moving locations and did not want a bad review. I asked if after all this time the problem was resolved. No answer, they just wanted my review removed. I declined. Instead, I was mocked and made fun of by the management of the studio because I said no. A grown man bullied an special needs child and they thought it would OK to ignore it and then make fun of it. New address, new name, same horrible people.
