Besides an excellent martial arts school, I personally enjoy all the community events Master Shin hosts. There are multiple events for the students throughout the year, such as an ice cream truck, movie nights and nerf gun night. Good Wifi in school too to get some work done while waiting for classes to finish.
Master Shin is a phenomenal teacher. He is truly dedicated to the art of Tae Kwon Do and does an amazing job sharing knowledge and guiding and motivating students along the long road to mastery. He shares life lessons and works to instill important things like confidence, respect, teamwork, focus, and discipline in the students. All of these are highly important in life. He has helped our boy grow more confident and focused over the course of one year. Over time it has become clear to me that this school is also more than just about karate or self defense. There are also community events for the students (ice cream trucks, games, holiday parties, etc.). The lessons, trainings and activities are always good and well thought out. He is honest, patient, and truly cares about his students. He also has a great sense of humor.

We found out about Black Belt America through a friend and we have been in love with it ever since. My son, Ankit, is always looking forwards to Master Shin’s classes. His classes are disciplined and actually does focus on your child getting better at martial arts. One thing I love about the classes is that they can be rescheduled to another date if one day seems too busy. Watching the classes has always been a pleasure because not only I see my son progress, but also Master Shin’s humor provides good entertainment. Black Belt America provides amazing training and I surely recommend your children to join the classes.
My boys 6 and 8 years old have been learning Taekwondo from Master Shin for last 8 months. Master Shin is an amazing teacher. He is extremely dedicated and is personally invested in his students. He also provides positive reinforcements to the kids which makes them more motivated to be better each time. My boys are getting more disciplined. Master Shin’s energy in the class is contagious and he is extremely enthusiastic. Master Shin motivates and encourages students to do their best not only in Taekwondo but in other aspects of life too. I am so glad my boys have Master Shin as their coach.

My grand daughter Kanika has been going to Master Shin's taekwondo for couple of years and we have seen significant improvement in her confidence levels. She's been able to focus and in many instances has been able to stand up for herself and her friends. Would highly recommend Master Shin and his training as one can see gradual improvement in kids. We came across BBA through my child's classmate who attends lessons here. We've been looking for activities for him to participate in, and we signed up for a trial. Surprisingly, my child enjoyed the first lesson very much and talked about Master Shin a lot. After two lessons, we asked if my child wants to continue, and he said yes. It's been a few months since then. He's made a lot of progress, and he has a lot more to learn. We appreciate how patient Master Shin is, and you can tell he very much enjoys working with the children. We've jokingly called Master Shin "the third parent" because he makes it his mission to not only help your kid learn taekwondo, but also to apply the principles to all aspects of life. That means a lot to us.
We were brand new to the taekwondo world, and a friend recommended Black Belt America. We are so happy with the teacher and the material. My child learns proper techniques and skills, and it is done in a warm, fun, and exciting learning environment. My child has excelled through the Masters guidance. He cares so much about each child, and makes learning fun. We just love going here!
Our daughter, who is 9 years old has been going to Black Belt America for over a year now. She isn't particularly athletic or keen on sports and we wanted her to learn a form of Martial art to encourage some physical activity. I must say that the experience has been nothing short of amazing. Of all the extracirruclar that she does, this is one thing, she has been consistent with, which we are happy about. Master Shin is a very dedicated individual, who is full of energy, but at the same time he makes it fun for the kids.
Black Belt America of Princeton Junction is an excellent program. Master Shin is very talented and hard working, he gives personal attention to kids and prepare them well for classes and tournaments. Master Shin is a tough but fair instructor who knows how to keep kids engaged and learning. My daughter and son both go here. It’s been great to see them progress from white belt to now a blue belt. My daughter especially has taken to the kicks and when she’s shouting “K-Yah!” … she means it!

Master Shin really knows how to work with little kids. He makes the class full of fun but kids can learn the moves at the same time. Highly recommended!

I have been doing taekwondo for 6 months already and it has changed me so much. The instructor,Master Shin, is a caring person who loves to help improve his students. Master shin’s teachings has helped me gain muscle, confidence, and better taekwondo skills. There is classes for all ages and anyone can join. I always look forward to the day I have taekwondo because it is a great and fun activity. I would highly recommend this location to anyone who is looking to join martial arts.
Master Shin at Black Belt America has been incredible in the last 1.5yrs my daughter has been here. Starting from Day 1 Master Shin has made her feel so comfortable in the new setting it's fantastic to see her wanting to go there and learn the art form. Very clean setting makes the place very safe and sound.

Adult class is available here! Master Shin is patient and humorous. Learned a lot in the class. Taekwondo is a easy-to-learn martial arts. It is also an interesting workout for the adults like me.
Master Shin does an excellent job of keeping kids engaged and knows the drill, I was impressed at trial class and even now as both kids are enrolled for classes. Highly recommended for keeping kids active !

I had an emergency on day one of the demo class time and urgent last minute work during second class schedule… the academy couldn’t even give me options. Only option I had was that to select days with timing 3:45 ( how can you expect a child to come @3:45??? When he’s back from school only by 3:50)?????
No flexibility of timing to choose from as compared to other academy classes… no flexibility in understanding what working parents go thru nor able to understand emergency!!!
If the experience was such without attending a class dunno what would be the experience if I had enrolled my son!!!!
