My wife and I were travelling to South Padre Island from Canada and I reached out to the team at BKC to see if we could drop in for a couple classes. The people were so friendly and welcoming. I could tell they were genuinely happy to have us train with them. We went to the Thursday night class and had a blast learning and rolling with them. I went back on Friday morning for a BJJ and kickboxing class with coach Steve. Once again, I felt welcomed and was very grateful to learn great BJJ techniques from Steve that were also very applicable to street self-defence. I had a great time rolling with coach Steve and another student. I highly recommend reaching out if you live in the area or just travelling through!
I heard about the gym from a friend and walked in not knowing if I was going to know any body. From the moment I stepped foot in the gym everyone took good care of me and walked me through everything. I realized how out of shape I was and brad and Jennifer made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. They both do an outstanding job and I am hooked. Can’t wait to continue my journey.
Excellent jiu jitsu gym. Friendly staff and students alike, plenty of mat space and a great balance between technique and live rolling. I only visited twice on vacation but if I did live in the South Padre/Port Isabella area I'd definitely train here!
A couple of my friends dropped in on an open mat while we were on vacation... All the guys were very hospitable and welcoming. We all had a blast. I highly recommend them.
My daughter and I dropped in for a class while taking a family vacation and loved it! The instruction was great, the coaches were warm and inviting, the facility was clean, the vibes were great and the rolls were TOUGH! Don’t hesitate to train here. These folks are legit, and super friendly. We’ll definitely drop in again!
