We are still new to the the school, but my son loves it. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel welcomed. It a warm, inviting community and my son loves attending the classes. He already has learned so much.
We really enjoyed our time at the Bedford Martial Arts Academy. The instructors really go above and beyond to include every child in the classes, and our son Max definitely showed great growth. They do a lot to build a community around their programs and keep a positive atmosphere for the little karate kids.

There are not enough words! We moved to NH when my son was starting 1st grade and knew no one. Looking for an after school program, we were referred to BMAA and could not have been happier! They became our extended family. The program compares to no other in terms of safety, activity, structure, focus, and interest in children's achievements. Homework is a priority there, and the staff are qualified to provide educational assistance and balance that with fun. My son's experience in the after school program and the separate karate classes helped him find his confidence and develop important skills such as responsibility and respect.
My son just started here a couple of weeks ago and they are awesome. Extremely patient and nice. Highly recommend them!
My kids, now 5 and 6 are both enrolled in karate with Bedford Martial Arts Academy. We are approaching the one year mark in a few months. They have both achieved many new belt rankings and promotions. I believe martial arts education is a life-long learning experience. They also have lots of seasonal events and parties which are fun for the kids.

The entire staff here is amazing! They really do take the time to work with my child! Even on the days he may be having a tough time, and not wanting to participate, they go above and beyond to make him comfortable and enjoy his time in karate class! Highly recommend!

They're not just about teaching techniques, they really focus on where your child is in their development and helping them prosper in all areas of their lives. On Jan.25,2022 my grandson stated taking karate lessons at Bedford Martial Arts. The instructors work with the children helping the to learn the many skills to rank up to the next belt level. Everyone is so friendly. I can't wait till my grandson learns all the skills to be able to join the black belt club! I totally recommend Bedford Martial Arts !! My 3, 7 and 13 year old all love Bedford martial arts academy. I can’t recommend them enough. It has helped tremendously with my 7 and 13 year olds confidence which has a ripple effect that goes beyond the dojo. My 3 year old loves the mini masters games. Every instructor is wise beyond there years and fantastic with the kids. It is such a high quality program, we are lifers!

I cannot recommend this place enough. My son is very high energy & has done fantastic here. Every teacher is so patient and they make karate fun with games, obstacle courses, they have summer and Christmas parties for the kids!! Great experience 👍
My son has been going to Bedford Martial Arts Academy for just about two years. Before I enrolled him, he had such extreme emotional outbursts and wasn't doing well in school. Fast forward two years later, and he is more focused, and his emotions are more regulated. He's even doing really well academically! Everyone here has been so amazing, patient, and kind. They've seen my son through a biopsy and surgery on his leg, and helped him get caught back up when he was given the green light to return. I can't imagine our days without this wonderful place!

Excellent dojo, where the kids are taught the mental discipline and meanings behind the martial art, all while keeping it incredibly fun for the little ones. Our guys love it, and we love that they are learning both to defend themselves, but more importantly how to avoid the situations and control themselves!

We moved here not long after my youngest had begun karate at another facility. Being new to town, this program offered the opportunity to gain confidence and make friends! We used the after school program and have had lots of success there as well! We have felt as though we are part of an extended family since day one!

I have been part of many martial arts schools in my lifetime and what really sets BMA above the rest is the child development training of their staff. In the last year, I have seen many kids that struggled with self-control become the most disciplined students in class. My own two boys included! I have been attending classes at BMA as well and it has become a second family to all of us. I cannot recommend them enough!

We could not be happier with our experiences at Bedford Martial Arts Academy! My children began taking classes there a little over a year ago, and they have loved every second of their time there. I have watched them build confidence, learn self-control, sharpen their focus, practice respect, and so much more. After witnessing the top notch programming and lessons that my children were enjoying, I also decided to start taking classes about 10 months ago. I also absolutely love taking classes here and I can't recommend them enough!

Great place for kids, teens and adults. The kids daycare is a wonderful place to start - academics, disciple, and socializing with peers, and karate. They bring out the best in your child!
All the staff are fantastic at Bedford Martial Arts! They truly care about each individual child, not only from a martial arts standpoint, but also as a whole. We love the classes and all the additional events and activities they plan to keep things exciting and fun.
My son was 4 years when we started the class, very distracted from beginning. It’s been 5 months now and he's able to concentrate and focus much better.
They have an amazing, caring team of instructors who do an excellent job with the kids. They teach discipline but there is always a lot of fun in class too. Both my 8 and 4 year olds love their karate program and they are always looking forward to class. As a martial artist myself, enrolled my child for the purpose of discipline and increase self confidence. We found that in addition to the Martial art training, the Elite After School program is a comprehensive program that improves discipline, confidence, focus, socialization, and overall physical and mental strength. Both of my kids joined BMAA when we first moved to Bedford. They loved it so much they stayed and became Black Belts! All of the instructors are attentive, knowledgeable and kind. It is a great environment for all ages. My youngest is going on 8 yrs at the dojo and we can’t say enough great things about BMAA.
Both our boys started here a few months ago. They have been thriving here. The love the games , the interactions with the instructors as well as learning the skills. I have seen changes in both of them for the positive. All of the instructors are beyond patient and very skilled at interacting with each kid on their level.

Cannot say enough about the staff and programs here. The owners are extremely conscientious about the the safety and happiness of the kids, they continue to go above and beyond in insuring they are safe and enjoying themselves. They make sure everyone feels included and has an opportunity to excel. They are also great about doing things to attract new students and make us feel appreciated. In the summers they have an ice cream truck once a week and offer free treats. I would highly recommend this place to anyone considering
Honestly this place is amazing. The people are fantastic and specifically the instructors are top notch. The way they teach, trying to help the students and allow them to have fun as they learn. It's more than just a martial arts academy, it's a place for people (not just kids) to gain confidence and make friends.
Signed up last week for my 3 year old daughter and the staff have all been awesome. Did a small session with Miss Ashley and she was absolutely amazing and my daughter responded to her instruction well. Mr Jeff has been her more regular instructor and she loves to go in and learn with him and the class. Being new to the academy I wasn’t aware they close for the whole week of July 4th so I arrived today for a class (not reading the email that was sent out informing of no classes this week) and the owner John was there, told me class was closed this week but still gave us a little mini class so that my daughter wasn’t sad about not having karate. (She got all her karate stuff on and was ready to have some fun learning). Also just want to note that from the first contact with them to attending the classes, the communication has been very good, I’ve had a reply to any questions almost immediately via text and all the instructors are more then happy to help answer any questions you have when you are there and are great at explaining things in an understandable way. An awesome school and highly recommended! I’m from the UK originally and this school even exceeds the ones I’ve attended there! Keep up the good work!
Ive gone to bmaa for 5 years now, I moved here and had no friends and knew nobody. I started going to bmaa because I wanted to learn martial arts and I got so much more. I made friends, I learned how to defend myself, and everything was fun. I got help from teachers in the after school program. I'm glad I decided to go here because it was fun, I got to learn martial arts, and I have made so many friends.
My son has been coming here for nearly 4 years, since he started first grade as his first activity upon moving to the area. In addition to the incredible karate education, he has developed more confidence overall and applies the lessons of respect and accomplishment in his school work and life outside karate. The staff here is wonderful!
The group on instructors here are absolutely the best! They are patient, kind, and excellent at showing the children a high level of respect. They guide children into the discipline of karate with calm-assertiveness. There is no chastising, no singling out, no cruelty. The level of pride and confidence my children have developed by going has been worth the investment. It has also helped them learn the value of mutual respect; what you give, you get.
