Welcoming and highly skilled instructors. I have 4 children of various ages training here and the instructors do a great job at connecting with them where they are and helping them accomplish their goals in Jiu Jitsu and life !

This is by far the best gym I have ever trained at. What makes it so special is that anyone from day one novice to club player to seasoned competitor can train here. Whatever your goals, there are coaches and teammates to help you on your journey.

Started my journey as a white belt here around 10 months ago. The instructors are knowledgeable and easy to follow. Classes cater to both traditional learners and hands on learners, and training partners are eager to help. Lots of fun, great way way to stay in shape, confidence boosting, and great for self defense. My experience here has been awesome so far.

I started training here as a blue belt and can say since that I have been here training under John and Julian for a little over a year. My game has changed dramatically. I feel more confident and motivated in my training and skill. These guys will take the time to train you and get you ready to achieve whatever your goals may be. Please, please, please if you are in the Lafayette area and are looking for some serious jiu jitsu training stop by, you will not regret it!! I am happy to be apart of this team! 🤙🏼

Started training 6 years ago in 2018, so I’ve been around jiu jitsu for a while now. But it wasn’t till I found BE Jiu Jitsu, that I realized what a real gym surrounded by the best grapplers Acadiana had to offer. BE is the best gym in not just this area but a whole of Louisiana. The training is amazing, the atmosphere is great, but most importantly the people here are special and treat you as such. The BE Jiu Jitsu team is the best around and strongly suggest trying them out like I did. It will change your game for the better. They offer great kids classes for all children. The beginners class for newbie white belts is great and will teach the fundamentals of your game. The intermediate and team practice will elevate your game even higher. There is no better jiu jitsu in acadiana than BE Jiu Jitsu. Come and train and elevate your life!

Absolute best place in Lafayette to learn pure jiujitsu. (Gi or NoGi) Instructors are highly skilled on fundamental and cutting edge technique. Everyone is so friendly and vibes are on point.

The place is very well located, Lafayette Downtown and has such a good structure with clean mat and very nice crew. I have been around many BJJ gyms in USA and for sure this is one of the best! the coach julian smith is very welcoming and has such good methodology to teach from basics to advanced. Highly recommended!

John, Julian, Cutter, and all the members of BeJJ are wonderful! I think I’ve learned more in two weeks than I have in three months at other gyms. They really take the time and show you strategies for bjj. The facility is clean and in a great location. I would recommend this gym to anyone who has a passion for learning, young or old!

I’m thankful to be apart of this gym, it’s exactly what I needed. There’s a lot of good gyms around, but this one is perfect for strictly Jiu-Jistu and No Gi grappling. It’s a very welcoming place that’s great for beginners and experienced guys and girls. Being in the heart of Lafayette makes it even better! Excited to see this team grow!

Testimonial I found out about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu a few years back through podcasts and word of mouth. I eventually started looking into Instructors and joined a Gym. I had to stop going because of financial reasons and work schedule. After being out of it for a while I still felt the desire to go back to it when my finances lined up. Luckily around that time I heard from Dalton Kay that John Jordan was opening a school in Downtown Lafayette. I got in touch with John Jordan and started going to open mats that where hosted at people’s houses. One thing lead to another and as soon as they opened I became a member. John and his team are excellent instructors, down to earth guys. They create a relaxed learning environment that promotes asking questions and are all trained instructors that know how to teach. Rolling with this group of people has positively effected my life and has made me not just better at Jiu Jitsu but helped with my confidence in social interaction, making changes in my life for the better, handling the stress of life and what ever it throws at me. BeJJ is a solid gym to train at and I look forward to time on the mat and meeting up with instructors and other members every week!

A few months back I had a man following my friend and me in a local store. After that happened I didn’t feel safe to even go places by myself and I always had someone come with me anywhere I went. It messed with my confidence and made me feel very weak. I joined the women’s self-defense class in hopes that I would be able to defend myself if I were to be attacked. As soon as I got there it was very good vibes with knowledgeable teachers! They make you feel very comfortable and I know if I mess up they will reassure me that it’s okay and to try again without feeling embarrassed. Before you start your practice you also get to learn more about why these moves are important and where most attacks happen. Every time I leave I feel happy that I’m able to walk down the street without anyone because of these tools that I learned in such a short time. John and Grace are awesome and you should join and see how wonderful jujitsu is!

Whenever I go in for the women’s jiu jitsu class, I always feel comfortable and empowered! The instructors are knowledgeable and professional, and I feel a little safer on my own every time I leave their gym. Great way to bond with friends while learning how to keep myself safe.
