Amazing staff and instructors. Very welcoming environment and the students that attend the school are great. Have made some amazing friendships along my jiu jitsu journey and I can’t say enough good things about that training. Highly recommend!
Posted 1 year agoMy 3 boys have been training here for 3 years and we absolutely LOVE it! Not only are they learning great technique and how to defend themselves, but the instructors also model how to be good people. I'm happy that my boys are learning how to be men of excellent character. Highly recommend!!!
Posted 1 year agoVery welcoming environment & staff. I love coming into the gym. I really enjoy taking a jiu-jitsu class than walking down the hall to cool down with a great yoga flow, & if you need more, they have a massage therapist in the building who is phenomenal! Whether you are a beginner or advanced or just curious about what your mind & body can do, I highly recommend checking it out!
Posted 1 year agoBalance Studios training and instructors takes Jiu Jitsu to another level. The training is phenominal the commaraderie is the differentiator. Everyone is there to make you a better martial artist but also a human. It is so much fun that now my 13yr old son and I train together and he is upset if we can't make it. If you are even considering training stop in and check the folks out you will not be disappointed.
Posted 1 year agoBalance Studios at Haduko Training Center is truly a gem in the world of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Founded by the legendary Migliarese brothers, Phil and Rick, who have decades of experience as rare 5th and 6th degree black belts under the great Relson Gracie, this studio carries a deep lineage of tradition, respect, and technical excellence. Their philosophy is rooted in the principle that Jiu Jitsu is more than just a martial art—it’s a way of life. They blend unparalleled technical mastery with a profound dedication to teaching and preserving the art’s core values. The children’s program, led by Coach Reece Wilke, is nothing short of extraordinary. Reece has an incredible gift for connecting with kids and fostering an environment where they feel empowered, supported, and inspired. Through his guidance, children learn far more than self-defense and Jiu Jitsu techniques. They are taught essential life values like character, discipline, respect for themselves and others, and accountability. These lessons extend far beyond the mats, shaping the kind of people they become in the world. One of best - and most firmly rooted - aspects of Balance Studios is the absence of ego. Here, everyone is equal - whether you’re a first-day beginner or a seasoned practitioner. Students are encouraged to embrace a beginner’s mind, cultivating a spirit of humility and the relentless pursuit of improvement. This ethos creates a warm, inclusive, and respectful community where personal growth is celebrated and shared. Anyone who knows jiu jitsu knows that it’s a brotherhood. A family. At Balance, especially, this couldn’t be more true. My husband and son have been training here for years and we consider Rick, Phil, and Reece our family. These are icons in the world of jiu jitsu who truly LOVE to teach and pass on their incredible knowledge and skills. We feel very lucky to be a part of this place.
