I've been exposed to martial arts roughly for 8 years and Connor is by far the best coach I've ever encountered. The way he teaches makes the art fun and easy to understand with his systematic approach, making it easy to learn and progress. He doesn't just teach you moves, he explains how it works and how it won't if not done correctly. He has a knack for observing the smallest detail and gives immediate feedback on where to improve. He is highly supportive and prioritizes safety in our practices, especially important for women who may be less comfortable in this environment. Connor is completely trustworthy and approachable. I am so lucky to have him as my coach, and I won't have it any other way.
Posted 1 year agoMy brother and I have started going to badger ju-jitsu for private lessons over the last four months. It has been a very inviting environment. I would recommend it to anyone thinking about starting ju-jitsu. Connor goes at a great pace, and you will learn the fundamentals with easy-to-understand explanations. Badger ju-jitsu is also very fun and a positive learning environment where you will leave each lesson knowing your time was put to good use. The combination of Connors’ enthusiasm for ju-jitsu as well as his teaching style really benefits me as a student. If anyone is thinking of trying it out, you cannot go wrong with Connor and Badger ju-jitsu.
Posted 1 year agoConnor is an excellent and cool coach. His lessons are planned properly and broken down into chunks to be easily digested. You not only learn how to perform the moves but also learn the theoretical aspects as well, so you'll understand perfectly what you're doing. I’ve started as a total beginner in BJJ and I’ve learned a lot from Connor like frames, guards, mount and back positions, turtle position, takedowns, escapes, submissions, passing and some leg entanglement. I always look forward to attending his classes.
Posted 1 year agoI have just gotten into bjj this year and I am loving badger jujistu. Really good personalised lessons and I already feel like I’ve improved in the time I’ve been coming to these classes. Connor creates a space where I am keen to try new things and ask questions which can be hard in other bigger classes.
