Started training here when I first moved to Melbourne over 5 years ago. Still training here to this day. Robbie is an excellent coach and has fostered a really great community around the gym. Classes are designed well to accommodate all levels. With direct coaching from the head instructor to the willingness of more advanced students to help newcomers, I can't recommend Axis enough. If you've been wanting to give BJJ a try, this is the place to do it, OSS!
Posted 2 years agoAxis JJ Melbourne really stands out for its fantastic culture and welcoming environment. I feel a sense of closeness between my teammates and I and even with the coaches and it creates a very supportive atmosphere where everyone helps each other improve. The coaches are incredibly skilled and dedicated, which keeps our training diverse and exciting. I am so grateful I found this gym and would love to stay with it throughout my Jiu Jitsu journey. Highly recommended gym!!!
Posted 2 years agoOur 6 year old started Jiu Jitsu classes 2 years ago and it's been great to see his confidence and skills develop over that time. The classes are run in a fun, yet disciplined manner that the kids really enjoy. This is thanks to having some great instructors that genuinely care about the kids progress from week to week. To Robbie and your team, keep up the great work.
Posted 2 years agoMy three-year-old son trains in Jiu Jitsu here and absolutely loves it. The coaches are patient and incredibly friendly with young kids. Although he was a bit shy during his first two classes, he’s now excited and look forward to every class. This experience has significantly boosted his confidence, and I am confident it will continue to help him improve. I will definitely bring my daughter here to train when she is old enough to start training.
Posted 2 years agoMy son Alexander started at Axis when he was 4yrs old. He's loved it. Plus, it's amazing how much he has learnt and can do now. Even got me to start BJJ myself at 45yrs old. Robbie is a beast of a coach who has set up a gym that's more like a family. Highly recommended to new and others trying to find a new gym.
