Great! Teen daughter loves it. I love bc Hands down best real self defense
We love Auburn Jiu Jitsu & so does our little girl. All the coaches are great with the kids, but we particularly love Coach Ethan. She has learned so much, & it has helped her focus and discipline at home as well!
Has really helped my son focus and he sleeps well after there classes!
Our 5yo has been on it for almost two years. We love it! It is great for kids.
Awesome space, the coaches are so great with my kiddo and she loves going so much!
Auburn’s Jiu jitsu is the best jiu jitsu dojo and daycare ever!
We love Auburn Jiu Jitsu! Ethan is fantastic with my four year old boy! He looks forward to class everyday and always has a good time while learning at the same time.
Coach Ethan has done great teaching our daughter the techniques she needs to succeed and being patient.
Amazing place!!! My grandchildren come here and we love it!
Auburn Jiu Jitsu is a legit place to train, with detailed instruction from people who want you to succeed. There are training partners at all experience levels, and the open mat time on top of regular classes make for plenty of opportunities to learn and improve. I've felt welcome at the gym from day one and now make it a priority to make sure others feel the same way when they step on the mats. Whether you want to compete, learn how to defend yourself, or just get active, Auburn Jiu Jitsu is the place to be.
Great place to practice BJJ! There is either a BJJ class or an open matt session almost everyday. Coaches and other members are friendly and supportive and you can learn a lot from them. Same for the people you roll with.
Great people and program. Great place for kids and tons of classes, which help if you have a busy schedule. Couldn’t imagine a better training environment!
With morning open mat and afternoon classes, you can choose what best fits your schedule. Also, clean facilities and great instructors.
My three grandkids took Jiu Jitsu this summer and had an incredible time. They just were so excited to go and they leaned so much in a short time! Their coaches were so kind and patient and kept their attention the whole time. Coach Chris, Coach Ethan and Mr. Randal are fantastic and go out of their way to make the kids feel excepted and important and included. All three kids learned a lot about treating others with respect and kindness. They Learned that they were tougher than they thought they were and to have courage to try something new. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the staff and we will definitely be back next summer!
I’ve coached BJJ for years and I have always loved it!! Being at Auburn Jiu Jitsu has really helped me grow and take my coaching skills to the next level!! - Coach Ethan
My grandson is 4 years old and this was a Christmas gift from me and my husband. He absolutely loves coming to class, loves his coaches and the other kids in his class. He would come every night if we let me. The classes. It only provide exercise but he is learning self confidence and respect. It is the best money I have spent and would highly recommend the classes to anyone.
A great gym with a family style atmosphere. You can come in as an absolute beginner or more advanced and get great instruction and community. The owner is extremally approachable and wants to see everyone find what they are looking for in Jiu-Jitsu. I would recommend this gym to anyone who is considering BJJ, and have done so many times.
Professor Randall and the instructors at Auburn Jiu Jitsu are not only passionate about their work, but they are passionate about people. These two hand in hand make a great environment and community to learn, train, and grow. I am very thankful for them and would highly recommend!
Very professional. Safe place for women & family friendly environment. I love it here.
Had been a great place to learn and make friends!
Phenomenal gym with great coaches and great people! Couldn’t ask for a better program
My son absolutely loves going to jiu jitsu practice!! Coach Ethan and Coach Dylan are amazing, they’re extremely patient and kind and also give their individual attention to each child when teaching a new skill. I would highly recommend this place!
Great people, great classes, great martial arts, great academy. I’m just starting but I’ll be training for long time 😎.
Really enjoy learning jiu jitsu here! Great community and team.
This dojo is professional, hands on and the community is a nice one.
My Daughter really likes everything and her Coach's are very good with training the students
Please allow me a few minutes of your time I’d like to share with you how important it has been to me and E’s parents that he has participated in JJ! I want to share with you our very high regard for Mr. Isaiah. His patience, discipline, genuine support and encouragement are outstanding characteristics that mean so much in this kind of a program. I certainly hope he’s being paid handsomely as there were days E was so unruly we did not want to bring him back to class. But Mr. Isaiah always encouraged us and said he was doing better. He is a true gem! We have had less visits with Miss Amber and Miss Grace but find they embody the same positive, uplifting spirits. We are truly grateful. I will be returning to CT so E will not be able to renew at this time as his parents do not have time in their schedules to get him to class. But he is enrolled for Summer School and we are eager for him to return when school is out. And next Fall when I return to AL! Thank you, Mr. Randall. We are a grateful family. Blessings Diane Brown E’s Gramma
Clean, professional, and warm welcoming atmosphere with some high level guys. Trained while I was on vacation and had some great rolls.
Very friendly environment! Great people! Would highly recommend to anyone
I would give them more then 5 stars if I could they went out of their way to give our children private lessons Isaiah is a great instructor j sanders
Great facility and the personnel working there are very caring for the students learning and teach at all levels. My children are having a great time and learning skills that will help them throughout their lives.
Love the experience. Good environment for families! Excellent training!
We started our relationship with Auburn Jiu Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu by enrolling our grandson, Daniel, in the summer program. To say it was beyond my best expectations is an understatement. Not only are the owners approachable and very knowledgeable, but they consider the well-being of each individual to be of utmost importance. Daniel had the best summer experience would could have ever hoped for. He is now enrolled in Jiu Jitsu twice a week, and is looking forward to the various school breaks and summer camp to immerse himself in another worthwhile experience through this program. Thank you Auburn Jiu Jitsu, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, for enabling Daniel to have this opportunity.
Auburn Jiu Jitsu is top notch. The staff and students welcomed me in and treated me like one of their own day 1. There are plenty of classes and a lot of great teachers who will take the time to break down techniques to help you learn faster. If you're interested in Jiu Jitsu, this is THE PLACE to go in the Auburn area.
I came from training out of town and everyone I have met has been super kind and encouraging. It’s always hard going somewhere new but they have made it very easy and welcoming!
I literally cannot find the words that express my gratitude or appreciation for the AUMMA/AUJJ family. As the parent(s) of a "Tiny Tiger Ninja" and now "Big Kid", I have been blown away by the commitment, patience, candor, and dedication to each individual student the program provides. The ownership team, managers, and staff are beyond professional and beyond caring about their craft or their kids. They are ingratiating to both students and families, they are engaging, and they are knowledgeable, and they place the best interest of the child and the climate at the forefront of their thought process. As parents -- you will bear witness to your child being actively coached. I jokingly admit that I enrolled my "reader" into BJJ. A child who is a consistently cautious and reserved observer of life and social situations -- a child, who up until this point, has never really found his niche or voice in athletics. The AUMMA / AUJJ family has provided a space, a training methodology, a focus, a community, and a confidence that we have been lacking with other organized activities. This has been a period of unprecedented growth and development for our grappler -- a well rounding of skills, discipline, confidence, participation, and fearlessness. Our once reserved child -- actively asks to go to BJJ. He engages with his teammates, and has established the foundations required at forming his own identity and personality. Joining the AUMMA/AUJJ family has by far been the best investment -- athletically, socially, developmentally, we have ever made for our child. I cannot sing the praises high enough -- however -- parents must prepare themselves for the truth that individual effort equals individual results. The "mats" never lie -- and neither will this coaching staff. #FridayNightFights
Mr. Randall and all of the staff are great teachers. I love the atmosphere, it feels like a second home.
Been training here for 5 years. Its a great place and affordable for all.
This is one of the best martial arts dojos I have been involved with. My son takes BJJ periodically (driven by other sports, availability, etc.) and always benefits greatly from his interactions with his instructors and with Coach Randall. If you are looking for a solid program that is way more than just martial arts/BJJ, I highly advise joining and being a part of this organization. They are top notch!
Great place to learn martial arts and work on yourself. Great supportive community of students and teachers. Very friendly atmosphere.
We have been so pleased with AUJJ and AUMMA both on the instructor front, but even more so on the positive improvements we have seen in our son, both physically and mentally! He loves going to jiu jitsu and loves to compete at tournaments (#3 this weekend!!!). We love AUJJ and AUMMA, and we cannot wait until our youngest is of age and potty trained so we can get him started too! Coach Randall and all of his staff are so dedicated to this program, and it shows! Cannot say enough good things!
I've been training with AUJJ and Professor Randall for about a year now, and I could not be happier with my experience. From physical conditioning to confidence building to camaraderie to just plain fun, the benefits are too many to list. The training environment is friendly, welcoming, and supportive. There are no Cobra Kai-style villains in here trying to smash people! Everyone helps everyone else to learn, grow, and improve, regardless of skill level. My only regret is that I didn't start sooner!
Teachers are diverse - all work well with the students. Stephen is our sons favorite coach. Highly recommended classes at both dojos.
Great environment with a welcoming staff and dedicated coaches!
My son attends the After School Program and because of our great experience there, I recently enrolled him in the evening Jiu Jitsu classes and we love everything about this business! The staff is wonderful and the environment is warm and inviting!
Money well spent, on necessary skills for life.
Great location, great coaches, great environment!
Great community, great people, great facilities, phenomenal classes. Over the last six months I went from 4 classes per week to 9 classes per week - and I would come to every single class offered if my schedule allowed. If you're looking for a place where you can be active, learn valuable skills, and make new friends then you've found it. Everyone on staff is awesome (especially Ellie <3 ). I enrolled my 8 year old son this week and he is enjoying it so much he wants to take classes every day! Adult classes are intense but fun and cold, filtered water is readily available and the Senseis will consistently remind the class to hydrate. Most of my classes are taught by Sensei Steven, who is one of the most talented and gifted instructors I've ever had the pleasure of learning from right alongside Sensei Randall. If you're on the fence I encourage you to take the leap and give it a shot!
Great instructors and people in the class are friendly and helpful. Maybe you can teach an old dog like me new tricks!
Amazing people and amazing instructors. Randall and Raven run a top notch program with great facilities. It’s definitely worth checking them out.
Great place to learn, get exercise and make great friends. Everyone is open accepting and helping each other to get better. Best choice I could have made!
Very friendly atmosphere here. I highly recommend the team. I signed up for the intro personal training sessions with Mr. Randall which gave me a good idea of what I was getting myself into. Anyone can do it. All ages and sizes. It’s a great way to get in a great workout while learning the art and making new friends. I’m 2 weeks in and enjoying every bit of it.
Great gym, great community, great instruction!
Every one is really nice and they help you learn. It’s a good way to get a work out and I highly recommend for anyone looking to have a good time.
Staff is awesome and really cares about your individual experience. Learned teachers means a wide variety of techniques taught. Facilities are great, and everyone is inclusive and friendly.
I love the Auburn Jiu Jitsu, I love the instructors, and students💕
My son loves this summer program! It's amazing to be able to go to work with the peace of mind that my son is in good hands and having so much fun!
I’ve been training BJJ here for years. Gym atmosphere is very positive, and all management and instructors are very professional. Staff and members go out of their way to make newbies feel welcome. Couldn’t recommend more!
Very friendly and inclusive staff, it’s a fun way to stay active.
The classes are filled with great, welcoming people. It’s a great environment that really supports learning and getting better.
Auburn BJJ is exactly what I was looking for in a BJJ gym. Very knowledgeable MMA instructions with a great emphasis on technique, practice, and discipline, while keeping it fun. All of the coaches, owners and members keep a family atmosphere and culture in the gym that allows you to feel comfortable to ask questions, trust each other and build friendships quickly. I highly recommend Auburn BJJ.
You're welcome, it is a very nice well run gym and community. I am happy to have discovered it.
Dropped in for a class while visiting Auburn. They were awesome. Great instruction and fantastic culture. Had a great time and will definitely drop in again when I’m back in Auburn...War Eagle!
Unbelievable staff that instill in their business what they practice on the mat. The level of understanding and flexibility for families is unparalleled. Excited to get back at it in the fall.
This is a great Gym for anyone looking to start jiu jitsu or develop your game to a higher level. Everyone is super friendly and contribute to the clean, family friendly environment. As a jiu jitsu practitioner of 10+ years I really appreciate the depth of knowledge Randall has and his willingness to help others progress. Always a pleasure when ever I can train here.
This place is a big family, everyone is helping me to get better.
My daughter is really enjoying classes here and having such a positive experience!
My kids have really enjoyed their experience here so far. We hope to continue going here for many years to come. The teachers are great with them! My oldest is 8 he’s learning a lot and so interested in it. He’s very shy but learning to open up more.
For our son's 3rd birthday in June, he said he wanted to be like a ninja turtle. The best we could do was sign him up for Jiu Jitsu. He has been in class for about 3 weeks and loves it! I feel like he is learning so much and he is excited to go every day. He loves his instructor and says that "Ms. Raven misses him" on days he does not have class. She is very patient with him. So far, we love it!
Mr Randall and Steven are great instructors. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Awesome environment to train in.
Randall and the rest of the instructions are great. I highly recommend getting your children signed up and training.
It's a place where strangers become like family, everyone helps one another get better and progress as one. My 5 year old also loves it and he just started. Hopefully my wife follows us too! Everyone should definitely give it a try.
Randall and the staff are amazing! It doesn’t matter your ability they work with everyone to help them learn and enjoy Jiu Jitsu. Starting your journey here is a great decision.
i have been training there for four or five years great place for both Brazilian jiu jitsu and Judo
If you are looking to change your life, get in great shape and have fun while doing it, become a member of Auburn Jiu Jitsu. You will not find better instructors who care about you as an individual. I have been a member for nearly 3 years and my one regret is that I didn't start training Jiu Jitsu earlier. So, what are you waiting for. Make that phone call or drop by and get started today!
The instructors and the culture here are exactly what we need more of in this world. Great program for kids, adults, men and women.
There are many reasons why I would recommend Auburn Jiu Jitsu but the two most important reasons are the dedication and patience of all the instructors. They really do want to help your child learn and become an outstanding individual on and off the mat. My son started here over a year ago and his self confidence has grown tremendously. I would tell anyone that this is most definitely the place to be!
Greatest role models for your children!! The staff becomes family. Best investmentment we have made for our daughter to instill self confidence, agility and mental strength.
Excellent family atmosphere for adults and children. Great instructors and grappling!
Great school! I have seen my sons confidence grow as he progresses through the belts, and have no worries about his ability to fully defend himself. Kids Mid level package breaks down to around 20 one hour classes a month (5 a week) at ~120$, That's 6$ a class. Hands down, the best money I have ever spent.
Not a rating of the teachers and students, they're great. Randal and his wife however, that's a different story. They used to love teaching an art to kids, but when he started expanding the business, it's became more about money. So much to the point to go back on his word with a man who helped build his first gym. As a friend of him and his family, this makes me furious. Even if this is a personal thing, I can say this is not a good place to work and needs a serious change of leadership. I really hope some of you will read this before you decide to work or train here and know there are other gyms just as good around here with much better owners.
While I was a student there I greatly enjoyed it. The staff was nice, the lessons interesting and a good overall atmosphere. However, the issue I have is their handling with billing and cancellation of memberships. I sent them multiple emails asking to have my membership cancelled yet I received no reply. I have called them multiple times and left voicemails(because, for whatever reason no one picks up) but there is no return of my calls. I even called and talked to Randall, the owner, who said he would make sure to do it. He did not. They proceeded to charge me despite no longer attending and having asked to be cancelled multiple times.
