Looking for a new sport activity to pick up, I noticed a martial arts studio in my neighborhood and decided to give kickboxing a shot. 15 months later, I am still training here and would recommend Jochen's gym to anyone interested in learning kickboxing in a friendly and competitive atmosphere. The technical drills are always changing, bringing new skills to students and keeping the training process professional and engaging.

I have been doing kickboxing pads and K1 there for about two years. I am also considering joining the grappling training there soon. The staff are very professional and knowledgeable. They take it seriously, but at the same time are supportive and friendly (always correcting you individually if needed during the training). During the training, no time is ever wasted on unneeded chit-chat or long pauses when your body cools down unnecessarily. The main focus is on technique and stamina. Every session has a good warm-up with stretching, proper technique training and after-training cool-down strength and conditioning part. There has been created a family-like community of young, old, male and female members (all respectful and supportive to each other). Also, the wide range of various traininig types is remarkable. There's always something to choose from for everyone. The martial arts gym there is open 6 days a week! (daily few traininig sessions). I recommend this place wholeheartedly!

Awesome gym! Very welcoming and polite atmosphere. The classes are very well organized and the trainings are really proficient both for learning and improving techniques. Can't recommend it enough

I have been in the kickboxing pads class for 6 months. This place is fantastic. The staff are helpful and encouraging, in English and German, the members are a mix of old and young, men and women, fit and trying to get fitter (like me) and every session has been amazing. Ten out of five.

AFC is my happy place and I would recommend it to everyone who wants to start a fun, but also a challenging hobby. I have been a member a little less than half a year now (doing kickboxing with pads), and I see great improvement in my strength and overall fitness already. The trainers are super professional, teach us the techniques thoroughly, and besides have individual approach to every person. Thanks for all the effort and great work you are doing, Jochen & team!
