Love the place my daughter been there for 3 yes and Mr and Mrs Cook are great with the kids
My Sons Birthday party was a hit at ATA martial Arts Academy of New Bern. The kids enjoyed an hour workout followed with pizza and decorations and prize bags were also provided. A great hassle free party for me as a parent.
Update! not only has my son been attending ATA Martial Arts of New Bern for the last 4 months, I have also started taking classes. I cannot describe what a blessing joining this academy has been for our family. Our son has grown so much as a martial artist, he becomes more confident every day! This past week my son attended Inventors and Innovators week at summer camp! He has come home every day so excited to tell me about all the fun things they got to do at camp! Mrs.Cook puts so much effort into making sure camp is a safe and fun learning environment with lots of learning and creating! Master Cook has a Taekwondo lesson during each camp day, where every student from advanced to students who have never tried Taekwondo get to learn what it means to be a martial artist and build on learned skills. The Cooks are incrediable people who Dedicate there lives to The academy and it's studenta young and old. February 2024- My son has been in taekwondo for 3 years, we recently moved to Mr.Cooks academy and it has been such a blessing. Mr and Mrs Cook are such incredible people, they welcomed our family with open arms and have given our son a new found love for Taekwondo. They work with each student on a personal level and encourage them to do their very best! Each student young or old Is patient, kind and makes you feel like family!
Mr. and Mrs. Cook are fabulous with kids! We have 6 kids attending classes here and they absolutely love it. Their confidence is up and they are learning quickly! The place is filled with amazing people who genuinely care and help you succeed. I highly recommend this place and these people!

Exceptional teaching, leadership, and guidance for everyone. Instantly felt like we are family. If you are not here you are missing out. Highly recommend this facility to anyone, and everyone that wants to excel and feel that each class you have gained more each time.
I joined after watching my daughter's and husband's classes for a couple months. Mr. & Mrs. Cook are very knowledgeable about Tae Kwon Do, its history, and its traditions. They emphasize family and there are, in fact, several families that do Tae Kwon Do together. They have classes for all ages and experience levels.
This is our first experience with martial arts and so far we could not be happier. Mr. and Mrs. Cook have been very helpful and everyone has been very welcoming.
Very professional, love how they relate to kids on their level and honestly the level of respect required is such a good reminder of just how important respect is and it has already helped our boy use his manners more, be respectful and become more confident. We will co timid to train here for sure. The family atmosphere is also a plus as well as the play area for our youngest to play in safely while he participates.
Love it! My son was shy and needing confidence. Two weeks in and his confidence has grown tremendously.

I've Mr.Cook and his family for many years. He is a instructor for young beginners. They really know how to make the young one feel safe and confident. Honest and quality training.
Very nurturing environment for kids to learn and grow. They were very patient and made learning fun. The kids had a blast!!
