We have been actively involved in the Jiu-Jitsu community for the past eight years. Our children, ages 13, 9, 8, and 6, have been training in the art since they were each 5 years old. When it came time to find a new academy, we explored several options in the area but were left unsatisfied with the level of instruction provided. A friend recommended JG academy - Aspire to Inspire, we attended our first class and immediately recognized the exceptional quality of coaching and instruction. The academy caters to individuals of all ages and skill levels, providing a supportive environment for both children and adults to learn and grow. Professor Marcos and coaches Diana, Gabriela, and Kody are highly knowledgeable and dedicated professionals who ensure that each student comprehends the techniques before progressing to the next level. After watching our children on the mats for the past 8 years, mom and dad finally decided to train, and we owe it all to JG academy.
Side note, I'd also like to add, as a mom with 2 daughter's it was extremely important for me to find a gym with women instructors, both Gabriella and Diana have had an incredible and positive impact on my girls. They are successful women (on and off the mat) that serve as role models for young girls, by providing them with examples of what can be achieved with hard work, determination and goal setting. (My boys also get incredible mentoring by Marcos and Kody)
My kids love training here at JG Academy it’s a great learning environment for the kids I seen much progress in my kids martial art skills .Also the professors are great teachers and it’s a friendly clean environment I definitely would recommend any family to join.
I visited JG for an all women’s event and Diana and Gabriella were so welcoming! If you live in the area or are visiting, JG is a must to stop and train!
I came for the wine and roll event and was pleasantly surprised by how welcoming everyone was. The atmosphere was super friendly and the coached were accommodating and knowledgeable. This place is perfect for beginners!
My 3 year old son has been attending this gym for about a month now and he loves it! Today they held a Women’s only event to introduce BJJ. Many ladies without experience showed up and we learned a lot. Definitely recommend!
My daughter has been coming here for about a year and they are amazing! I’ve also recently joined, they are very helpful and encouraging! It has made me feel way more confident!❤️

I’ve been training for a few years and when it came time to find a new gym, I came here and couldn't be more grateful. From the moment my family and I walked in, we were welcomed by both the coaches and the members. The environment is positive, the facility is clean, there is a perfect balance of friendly camaraderie with a serious dedication to Jiu-Jitsu.
The instructors, on top of being competitors themselves are top-notch with years of experience — they are skilled and take the time to explain the technique in detail, making sure students of all levels can understand and apply them effectively.

I have been taking my son to aspire for about a year now . The coaches are amazing very patient yet they teach him not to give up and to be disciplined. They want to see our kids succeed. This place has been amazing as someone who doesn’t have a lot of physical supper they are like second parents , teaching life lessons , giving confidence , and teaching responsibility. I would highly recommend to bring your child here to teach them so much more than just martial arts. They treat your child like family . Thank you coaches.

Just watching how the coaches interact with their students and how well (and how quick) the students absorb their instructions, I’m very happy with found this school. We’re about 4 weeks in and my kid is already determined to see a competition. She loves this school and looks forward to coming each day, and I look forward to bringing her. Wish we know about it before!

Even though my son trains at Charles Gracie, JG Academy has welcomed him with open arms every Sunday for training. The coaches and athletes have worked with him, taught him so many new techniques, and helped him grow.
The environment is incredible—welcoming, knowledgeable instructors, top-level fighters, and a clean, well-maintained facility. They truly know what they’re doing, and it shows in the way they train. If you’re looking for a great place to train, I highly recommend JG Academy!
We love coming to JG Modesto! The owners used to be in Manteca, where we currently live, but moved to Modesto. Our experience with Kody, Gaby, Domingo, Marcos, and Diana has been top-notch! We’d rather make the drive to train at a gym that is truly family-oriented and dedicated to teaching and working with our child. She feels comfortable, loves the environment, and is always excited to come back. I highly recommend this Jiu-Jitsu gym to anyone looking to get into the sport or for their children—trust me, you won’t regret it!
we love it! The coaches are great with the kids and they really take their time to help the kids understand what they are teaching. The gym is clean and the people are great!
The group that is here is truly inviting and wonderful . All the coaches work well with kids and we can’t wait to return. I saw my children gain so much confidence. Highly recommend taking the trial week as one of two kids decided it wasn’t for her but she enjoyed the experience. (Two kids boy age 6 and girl age 8)

Very clean and beautiful facility. The instructors are very experienced and are dedicated to making their students better everyday. This is a great place for a beginner and or advanced students to start. Kids, teens and adults will all be welcomed into the Aspire To Inspire X JG Family with open arms. We joined the ATI X JG Family a couple years back when we moved to this area and it was one of the best decisions we made! If you are in the Modesto area drop in and give the free trial a try.
Beautiful gym with great instructors. A great place to learn at all levels, from beginner to advanced. The technical ability of each instructor is unique and there is room for everyone to learn. Even if you interested in improving your competition based regiment, Aspire to Inspire is the gym for you.

Congrats to the JG team for this incredible space. Beyond the sparkle of the brand new… essentially everything, the coaches here is where this place really shines.
As a coach myself, if I had to recommend to someone looking to start training, picking a school is the biggest choices you’ll make. But how you do that is to focus on the coaches and focus on how passionate they are about their field. Both Domingo and Marco live Jiu Jitsu. From competition experience, to running other schools, including running tournaments, and ultimately growing the next generation of martial
artists. Also the JG team is massive beyond just this location so you’ll have access to deep knowledge and experience, mine included.
Come by and check them out while it’s still early. One of the benefits of a new gym is as they grow the first batch of students get an insane amount of attention. Take advantage!
