    My son and 5-year-old daughter have been training at Arte Suave Jiu Jitsu for a few months, and they absolutely love Coach Will and the entire team. Coach Will makes every practice fun, engaging, and welcoming. My son was initially hesitant to try another martial art (he has tried tae kwon do and karate), but now he’s completely hooked onto jiu jitsu, the Arte Suave team and other students. Our main objective was for our kids to gain self-defense skills, so we feel incredibly fortunate to have found not only that, but a place that our whole family truly enjoys. My husband sums it up perfectly: it’s rare to find someone as experienced in martial arts as Coach Will who is also so patient and great with kids. Thank you, Arte Suave team, for creating such a positive environment!

    BJJ is very intimidating for a beginner, many people try and quit because of this but the sport has so much to offer in regards to conditioning, mobility, strength and even active meditation. Coach Will and all the higher belts go out of their way to ensure beginners are welcomed! They are patient with instructions when they are teaching techniques and even during rolling so as a person who is new to the sport does not feel like a rag doll. Its a family atmosphere from the moment you step into the gym. People here train hard but with respect to their fellow practitioners. If you are considering BJJ, I highly recommend you give Arte Suave Jiu-Jitsu a try as it is a great place to learn and build new friendships on and off the mat!
