  Visited about 6 open mats here over the past couple of weeks and absolutely loved it! Adam and Emma were always super welcoming and they built a great team. The rolls were good and the crowd super friendly. The gym was super clean and the facilities are awesome. Definitely hope to visit again!

  I couldn’t speak highly enough about the kids’ classes at AMMA. My eldest son started when he was four and has been training there for almost two years now. Every instructor has been incredibly supportive throughout, and Adam and Emma Metcalf are fantastic leaders—patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in the kids. I wanted to share a moment from today that really stood out. My son joined the bigger class for the first time and was a bit shy and intimidated at the start. Emma took the time to reassure him, gave him just the right amount of attention, and helped him feel comfortable and confident. By the end of the class he was smiling, having fun, and even hit a few of his takedowns during the grappling session. Couldn’t be happier with the environment they’ve created. Highly recommend AMMA for anyone looking to get their kids into BJJ.

  I have 3 boys training at AMMA. Their BJJ has improved rapidly under Adam and his team of coaches, with both older boys winning a State title and one of them, a National title. But to be honest, this is not the primary reason to send your kids to this gym. Adam works with my kids (and all the others) as both a coach and a mentor. He helps them consider their goals, how they can plan to achieve their goals and then how they execute those plans. He helps them use their wins and losses to reflect and grow. My children trust him and I have seen him build these relationships with most of the kids on the mat. If you want a world class gym where your kids can become world champions, this is the gym. More importantly, if you want a gym that helps to grow your children’s confidence and make them winners inside, this is the gym for you.

  AMMA Gym is an amazing place for kids to learn Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu! My children have been attending for a while now, and the improvement in their confidence, discipline, and skills has been incredible. The coaches are not only highly skilled but also patient and great with kids, creating a positive and encouraging environment. What I appreciate most is the balance they strike between teaching proper technique and making sure the kids enjoy the process. It’s clear they care about each student’s progress and development. The facility is well-maintained, super clean, and classes are structured in a way that keeps kids engaged and motivated. If you're looking for a quality BJJ gym where your kids can grow both physically and mentally, I highly recommend AMMA Gym.

  Our 5-year-old daughter Frankie absolutely loves Amma Gym Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! The coaches are kind, patient, and amazing with young kids. She’s learning confidence, focus, and having so much fun at the same time. The environment is safe, supportive, and full of smiles. We couldn’t be happier — highly recommend for any young child starting their BJJ journey with Coach Adam and his team
