I started training in March of 2022. Whether you are young or old, a serious competitor or just looking to get back in shape, Professor Luigi and his team have created an excellent atmosphere to learn BJJ. The depth in all belt levels is important too....there are many upper level belts (including MANY black belts) that are more then willing to teach newer students. I was welcomed on my first day with fist bumps and introductions, which I wasn't expecting, but was impressed by how easy going the team appeared. I attend 4-5 days a week now. I wish I had found them 20 years ago. I highly recommend ATT /Kore in CT. They have created a great community. 👍

Amazing training environment at kore ATT CT. Professional and friendly, with high level practitioners. As a guest from a foreign country (Luxembourg) I could not have felt more welcomed. Thank you Prof. Mondelli!

When you think of American Top Team you may think of popular names such as Jorge Masvidal, Dustin Poirier, or Amanda Nunes. But when I think of American Top Team in Connecticut, there is no name bigger than Luigi Mondelli. He is greatly respected in the martial arts community and has many accolades to his name. You will most definitely want to attend this school for the wealth of knowledge of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, as well as Kickboxing/Muay-Thai and MMA. However, if you are looking for a new way to shed some weight, gain confidence, or looking to meet cool people, Luigi has built a community that welcomes all. When Luigi teaches us the lethal arts there is an interesting juxtaposition of warmth, humor and humanity in his teachings. I am proud to call Amerian Top Team my home, I am proud to call Luigi Mondelli my Master, and I believe you will too.

After doing the trial BJJ class, I had left with so much curiosity about the art, and I had found myself wanting more after leaving. Even without prior knowledge and experience, I felt like I was able to learn and retain what I was taught. Every single person was so friendly and willing to help. Soon, I'm hoping I will be able to enroll so that I can begin my journey. Thank you so much for being so welcoming and helpful!

If you live in the Danbury area and you are looking to learn BJJ, this is the place to be. Luigi and Silvia are amazing instructors. Everyone is very friendly and welcoming. You don't get any of that ego rolling you might find at other BJJ gyms. This isn't my home gym but whenever I am in town I always find time to stop in and train with the ATT CT crew. Like I said, if you live in CT and want to learn BJJ this is the place to be.

American Top Team Danbury is the premier martial arts school in the Northeast! The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instruction is top notch! With a mat culture that nurtures the make everyone better approach opposed to a king of the mat culture. All the higher belts help the lower ranks then as they progress they help the lower ranks and so on. Luigi is extremely knowledgeable and can make the most complex techniques easy to execute. The Muay Thai, MMA, Combatives, and kids classes all have excellent instruction. I highly reccomend American Top Team Danbury to anyone that wants to learn martial arts as a hobbyist, competitor, or for self defense. This place has been great for me and I can't say enough good things. You just have to go and try a class and see for yourself.

Amazing tribe ! Everyone looks out for one another. Extremely helpful towards beginners. Opportunities to learn and work with professionals in Muay Thai, MMA, BJJ, Judo, and Combative training. Super safe clean comfortable environment. My entire family attends from my children to my mom. Classes can be universal. If I could live here I would, hehe. Definitely feels like home away from home.

Great experience at American Top Team. Luigi and Sylvia truly put the children above all else. Rare to see an organization put helping people above making money these days, but Luigi and Sylvia do just that. They work to instill respect and discipline while building confidence and self esteem. The kids love going and we couldn't be happier with the skills they are learning.

One of the best martial arts schools anywhere! Professor Luigi Mondelli is super talented, giving, humble and respectful. He is a world class martial arts practitioner, competitor and teacher. I have been teaching practical and effective martial arts for well over 30 years, and I highly recommend this school to anyone interested in the very finest in martial arts instruction.

Beyond a shadow of a doubt the best martial arts academy I have been to. Luigi promotes a friendly and arrogance-free atmosphere that carries over to all of his students. Not only have I had the pleasure of learning jiu-jitsu from a highly qualified instructor, I have also made many new friends and learned things about myself that I will carry with me for the rest of my life. I highly recommend American Top Team to any and all who take an interest in pursuing martial arts.

I have been training here for a year and a half and it has changed my life. Luigi and and entire team are incredibly talented teachers but more important they are great people. It feels more like a family than a gym. The instruction is world class and best of all it does not feel like you are working it's just fun.

I loved my experience at American Top Team Danbury CT. I highly recommend anyone looking to train in MMA,BJJ, or Muay Thai in that area to join immediately. I live in New York City and traveled 1 hour away to train with black belt Lugi Mondelli. I was nervous at first about training at a new academy from such a highly acclaimed black belt, however the staff and students made me feel very welcomed and I was greeted as if I were training there for years. That vibe alone is worth ever penny. It's hard to find MMA acadamies that are both high level and having a relaxed atmosphere, this academy Deffiently achieves that ten fold. Beginners are closely catered to as well as the seasoned veterans. Ouss

Professor Luigi and his great team allowed me to train with them while I was visiting family in CT. This facility is great, well kept and clean. Every single member of the team is welcoming and willing to teach. I had some great rolls there! I would recommend this school to anyone in the area.

I've been taking my son to ATT in Danbury for 4 years (since he was 9 years old). Master Luigi and his staff are all great at teaching kids not only BJJ, but self discipline and self confidence. Any form of martial arts I think is great for kids to learn, but BJJ is especially useful in "real life" self defense. My son is not a fighter, but he loves going to class and definitely feels more self-confident knowing he can better handle himself if push comes to shove (literally).

After training with American Top Team danbury for over a year now I can confidently say theres no better school or team. The friendly, eager atmosphere is infectious. Hostile attitudes or actions are entirely absent from the school, and the list of guidelines and etiquette makes the standard clear. The staff are passionate and genuinely interested in the welfare and education of every student on the team. Offering a wide range of martial arts and physical exercise including children's classes and cardio kickboxing, ATT is a fabulous place to learn and grow.

American Top Team Connecticut is an excellent club with a very welcoming atmosphere and top notch instructors. Master Luigi, the owner and head instructor of the school, is a kind man that is very experienced and excited to pass on his knowledge. This school also has classes 6 days a week, which is pretty rare for clubs around here. I highly recommend this club!

They need to work on customer service : I called a few days to inquire about lessons for my daughter they told me “Tue & Thurs @6:15 for trial class so me my wife and daughter arrive today @6:12pm class is in session till 6:18 then another class begins , we where there watching for 40 minutes.. then we left . Not one person greeted us or asked us if we needed help ,,, so clearly while they might be a great place there intrest is not in obtaining new students .
