My two kids attend junior classes and I attend adult classes. Super engaging and fun for my kids; it has made me incredibly happy to see them love marital arts as I did when I was their age. The level of instruction is excellent. There are several main instructors all with a high skill level. It is very easy to contact them and join a class. Pressure and stress are low, but challenges are created for the students to overcome and grow as martial artists. Kids are slowly welcomed to martial arts and introduced to a fun but accelerating series of skills. The core themes of the school discipline, confidence, working with others, and meeting difficulty and adversity with tenacity and positive energy.
I was hesitant for a long time about starting some form of martial arts, while always wanting to. Finally went for it at ASDC and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The family, and whole adult class was extremely welcoming to newcomers. Would recommend them to anyone!
ASDC is exactly what our community needed. The dojo is run by the most welcoming family. Master Lawrence offers a blend of kenpo, judo, ju jitsu,jeet kundo and others to offer a well rounded and realistic approach to self defense concepts. We started with our 8 year old daughter and it quickly turned into a whole family venture. I absolutely love the Lawrence family and seeing my family laugh and bond while doing something productive and good for their health. If you haven't yet, come check them out. I got the wind knocked out of me twice. 10/10 would get folded again
Can't say enough good things, great family friendly atmosphere, the kids have alot of fun while learning self defense, large range of interesting classes. The adult classes are also great, where you have the opportunity to learn grappling as well as striking. No better place locally to learn how to hit people in the face with planet earth, or fold clothes with people still in them! Plus, the first week is usually free to try out!

This karate dojo and family that run it are absolutely amazing. My 2 children attend and have been going since October. They always look forward to coming to class .
Not a bad establishment just poorly ran. Daughter was a student for about 2 years and truly enjoyed her time with trainers Joey and Lenny as they taught her a lot and command a lot of respect. Unfortunately over time the days open became less and less, classes would be cancelled at a moments notice for various reasons and standards from owners tapered off and all training was left up to the kids. What they teach is great material however hard staying dedicated when you pay for 5 days of training and that turns into 4 days then 3, sadly in The end they seem to have lost all their dedicated students and didn’t seem to care as with my daughter who now trains at a new studio and is thriving 7 days a week at a fraction of the cost. With that said ASDC is great for instilling the passion of martial arts however not good if your child truly grows a passion, great for white through purple belt (Hobby training) but they are not serious enough for getting your child to ever see the end (Brown/Black belt). Again I want to stress great curriculum with a ton of potential just poorly managed, if you want the best for your child and think your child will take martial arts serious I would recommend looking elsewhere as it is difficult matching trainings from one dojo to another. Sadly they let us down after hundreds of hours dedication and thousands invested.
