My 7-year-old daughter recently attended a jiu-jitsu class at American Martial Arts Gym, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Coach Rufus is not only knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and encouraging. He creates a positive and safe learning environment that's perfect for kids. Man, I don’t even know where to start. My daughter has been attending American Martial Arts gym for over a year and it’s the best thing I’ve ever signed her up for. Not only is she learning to defend herself but it keeps her in shape and helps build stamina so she doesn’t become short winded as quick. I love how there are other gyms in Waldorf and Leonardtown that we are able to attend sometimes but Port Royal is our home gym and Aubree is proud to call herself a Port Royal Knight. The coaches are amazing, patient, and Thorough in teaching the techniques. If you’re thinking of signing your kid up for Martial Arts AMAG is definitely the place to be.
American Martial Arts Gym is a great place to train martial arts. Not only have I learned lots of great skills and techniques since I have began training here but I have learned a lot about myself. AMAG is a place that cultivates a championship mentality and confidence. They teach great fundamentals from great coaches.
Professor and coaches are knowledgeable, determined, and inspirational. Great atmosphere for learning and pushing yourself!

I started training with AMAG in September of 2022 and it has become my favorite family. I'm a police officer so this type of training is vital for my career and could save myself and others if needed. I started at the Port Royal, Virginia, location and soon started attending the Waldorf, Maryland, and Leonardtown, Maryland, locations. All three locations have the best coaches and their knowledge is unsurmountable. I cannot recommend AMAG enough.
Signed my 6 year old up for classes a few months ago. Great class! The coaches were so attentive to all the students and always quick to help and assist! Definitely recommend!

If you don’t want to be lazy and soft anymore, and want to learn how to handle yourself in a fight, this is the place to go. If you think you can fight and want to sharpen and test your skills then AMAG should be your gym. The youth program is also very solid for teaching kids discipline, jiu-jitsu, and the confidence to compete.
GREAT STUDIO & PROFESSIONAL STAFF I heard about this place which was close to where we live in our small town. I took my 4year old for an “orientation” and she absolutely loved it. unfortunately due to scheduling we could not take classes, however I would definitely recommend for anyone in the King George area that’s looking to get their kids into an activity. The staff are very professional and hands-on with the children(which I love) and the parents are very involved as well. Last but not least they’re actually teaching them life skills to defend themselves. Would highly recommend.
Best workout I’ve ever had. Great instruction, great team, and great environment. From day one I felt a sense of family with the rest of the team. You get more than your moneys worth.

What can I say about this gym other than if you are trying to learn how to defend yourself from any kind of physical attack, these are the guys you want to learn from. Every coach that is apart of AMAG has your best interest and growth at heart. Just remember that you are there to learn how to protect not only yourself, but also your family, because your gun, it might jam, but these hands, they have unlimited ammo and no need to reload.

Coach James and Coty are extremely dedicated to properly teaching people of all ages Mixed Martial Arts. Whether it be BJJ to Boxing. Everyone at this gym works extremely hard and it shows through everything they have done. If you're looking for a place to train that is dedicated to helping you further your goals, AMAG is for you!
Coach Coty and James are amazing human beings who will push you to your limits to help you make the best of yourself. One of the best gyms around, these guys are some of the hardest workers and kindest people I've met! Would highly recommend to anyone at every level of the sport!
