Great academy that offers Brazilian jiu jitsu and combatives/Muay Thai. Professor Alexander is very knowledgeable and a great teacher. Whether you’re a hobbyist or looking to compete he will get you where you want to be. It’s a very welcoming environment where we are treated like family. They also offer a free week trial. I cannot recommend this place enough!

This is a family! Everyone helps each other grow everytime we’re on the mat! Joe Alexander is one of the best I’ve ever seen in all my years. He will patiently work with you and push you all in the same. Once he sees or knows your area of struggle he has this awesome ability to help you push through both the physical and mental blocks!

Skilled instructor, great community. Welcomes new people with open arms. Weather you're in shape, or need to lose weight, new to martial arts, or a history of it.

This gym is top of the line. Coach Alexander and his family have cultivated such a welcoming environment for the students, and it bleeds into how we get along. I’ve seen plenty of BJJ/MMA gyms, but few have this level of cameraderie between the students or instruction from the coaches. Every student gets personal, individual attention from the black belt, and he’s very intentional about not leaving anyone out. I could not recommend this gym highly enough. I’m only a blue belt under Coach Alexander right now but I intend to get my black belt from him one day. If you want world-class teaching in a fun and friendly environment, look no further.

I have been a member of this gym family for many years and can't say enough good things about Coach Joe Alexander. Students are show real-world techniques in a way that makes complete sense to each of us. Our teaching is personalized to our skill levels - ALL people at ALL levels and abilities are welcome in the classes. Joe completely enjoys what he does and it comes through in each of our classes. We work hard and have a great time doing so. Children, teens, adults . . . everyone is empowered, supported and elevated. People from all walks of life are welcomed with open arms! You truly become part of a family when you become a student at Alexander Academy. If needed, the tools we learn can be used for protection in real-life situations. These techniques can be taken with us outside of the classroom walls. I am also proud of all the give-back programs that our gym is a part of- community is so very important to each and every one of us, but, especially to Coach Joe and he makes it a priority of our team to encourage each other in and outside of our classes and to elevate and give back to those in need when we can. I am so proud that my daughter and I are part of such a giving, knowledgeable, professional academy!

The best academy around. Best coach to have as a teacher. My 7 year old daughter has been in the classes for almost a year and the knowledge and confidence she has acquired is amazing. I have been in class for a few months. Not just a team we are a family.

Great, loving people! Coach Joe Alexander is great with kids (mainly because he's a big kid 😁) Joe and Wendy's motivations are pure, in that they truly desire people, especially women and children, to be safe; to equip them with the tools necessary to defend themselves against someone trying to do them harm. There is a truly warm, home-like vibe in this place. They are amazing people doing amazing work!
