I've been around martial arts of all kinds and I can say for a fact most taught here will not be used in a street fight, but what will be used in a street fight be will be effective. It's very rare a sensei will tell a new student's parents that they train to hurt people, I walked out of three schools that very day because didn't say that. Good school.

I've studied at this school, off and on, for a while, and this is, by far, the best martial arts school in Phoenix. This is a very serious place to study and you have to interview to be accepted, which I really like. The instructors are very well trained and you'd better be ready for some application of these techniques to your body. It is a comprehensive system that has real-world application to today's environment, in that you will learn how to defend yourself in many ways, including against multiple opponents. You can learn how to use a variety of weapons as well. I highly recommend this martial arts studio, but only if you are serious about the arts. The also teach young children as well, but in a fun and less serious manner than the adults.

an excellent place to come and get technique. a minimum of warm up and stretching and calisthenics and a maximum of hands on with partner joint locks and aiki style control skills in each class. the real deal with a minimum of BS.

16 years ago I had come into the dojo to meet and greet. Being young I had questions. One of those questions was is this style/system similar to Daito Ryu. The man there yelled at me, "This is not Daito Ryu!". I never forgot that. Anyway, I've grown to like judo.
