My 6 year old daughter has been going to Active Jujitsu for almost 2 years now. The instructors are knowledgeable, kind and patient. My daughter has learned techniques that she is always practicing on is at home. We also love our jujitsu community and have developed close friendships as well. We highly recommend Active Jujitsu Houston!
Our son goes and Professor Rose and instructors are great. Great for him to socialize and have fun while getting some good exercise.
What an experience! Best MMA place in Houston. They welcome newcomers very great and love the community. Everyone wants you to improve. Professor Rose & Dentinho are incredible teachers and very warm personalities!
My boys have taken lessons Active JiuJitsu this past year. Professor Rose and her team do a great job of making it fun while teaching the kids the practice of JiuJitsu and building character in them. I highly recommend them!
Both my daughter and I go to Active JiuJitsu. Everyone there is outstanding and their training is equally applicable to technical JiuJitsu training as to self defense, and they add in life skills for the younger students. Great training, great people, and of course great exercise. Happy to go there, happy to recommend them. :)
I was visiting family in Houston for a short time and I wanted to get some rolls in so I swung by for the intermediate class. I’ve only been doing BJJ for around 18 months at one gym so going to a new place in a different country was a bit of a worry for me. Needless to say the guys at Active were incredibly welcoming. It was a great session and they didn’t hold back on me 😂. The guys were incredibly good and Professor Luiz rolled with me (only my second roll with a black belt) needless to say it was educational. All in all, an amazing time and one I’ll always remember, if/when I’m back in Houston I won’t hesitate to go back to Active.
A great martial arts school for the entire family, Great instruction, good friendly atmosphere, classes for the entire family. If you are in the Houston area, I highly recommend you to contact this school and try out a class.
This is a fantastic facility with great caring staff and owner. My daughter is learning some great skills and life lessons. I'm really glad we signed up.
Just began training a month ago and loving it so far! A great way to workout and get in shape. The instructors and everyone there make you feel right at home. I initially signed up thinking I'd go 2-3 days a week, but now if I could, I'd go every day. Edit: it's been 2 years and still loving it. Learning new things every day. 🙏
Dropped in whilst traveling to Houston for work. Joined the 6am class run by Professor Daniel and had a great time. Really welcoming students, excellent instruction and good rolls. Look forward to dropping in next time I’m in town. Thanks from Steve (using wife’s Google account!)
I started taking my daughter to this place when she was 4 years old. She is now 5, and she has gained a lot of confidence and learned to stand up for herself. The children love coming here, and it's wonderful to see an equal number of girls and boys. The instructors are excellent, and after a while, it feels like one big family.
Lol they're goated 🔥🔥🔥
If you live in Houston then you live near one of the GREATEST BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU PLAYERS ON THE PLANET. I’m visiting from Denver and took the opportunity to train with Professor Dentinho. He is an amazing teacher and HOUSTON is very lucky to have someone of his caliber. GO TRAIN AT ACTIVE JIU JITSU.
Both of my sons LOVE it here! Everyone is great, highly recommend!
Professor Rosa was kind enough to let me drop in while I was visiting Houston. The training and instruction were top notch, and everyone I met went out of their way to welcome me. I would highly recommend this school, and I hope to come back next time I'm in the area.
Love the location and friendly environment. Would recommend to anyone getting into Jiu Jitsu.
One of the best Martial Arts gyms I have ever been to, both for me, and for my children. Professor Rose has been such an excellent instructor and leader, as well as Coach Zane and many of the other coaches. They have an excellent system that keeps the students engaged and learning essential skills while also having a lot of fun. I also have to give credit to Professor Detinho who has done an excellent job empowering his students to participate in the teaching process. I've been a student in the beginners class for a few months now, and the system they have in place to teach new skills has been excellent and has helped me strongly reinforce concepts with muscle memory. I wish the Active Jiu Jitsu team continued success in the future, as they have been doing an excellent job all around.
What can I say about Luis. I have known him and his wife since I was a brown belt and his Jiu Jitsu on on a completely different level than most black belts I know. He has always been a great friend and his only motivation is seeing people get better at their game. If you're looking for a really great professor and mentor I would highly recommend Active jujitsu in Katy Texas. FIVE STARS ALL DAY!!
5/5 - Active Juijitsu is the epitome of excellence in the BJJ community! I cannot express enough how impressed I am with Active Juijitsu in Houston TX. From the moment I walked through their doors, I felt like I was part of a big, caring family. Their family-oriented approach sets them apart from any other martial arts academy I have encountered. The sense of community and camaraderie here is truly heartwarming. It's not just about learning Juijitsu; it's about growing together as individuals and as a team. The kids' classes are outstanding! They are designed with great attention to detail and are focused on nurturing not only their Juijitsu skills but also instilling confidence and strong values. Seeing the children develop and gain self-assurance through these classes is nothing short of incredible. The facility at Active Juijitsu is always spotless and tidy. They maintain a high standard of cleanliness, creating a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. It's clear that they prioritize the well-being of their members and guests. One of the most outstanding aspects of Active Juijitsu is the people it attracts. They have managed to gather a fantastic group of individuals who are all dedicated to having fun while continuously improving themselves mentally and physically. The positive energy and enthusiasm that fill the gym are contagious, making every session a joyous and uplifting experience. For those hesitant about starting Juijitsu, I wholeheartedly recommend giving Active Juijitsu a chance. Their warm and welcoming approach will ease any apprehensions you may have, and they even offer family membership discounts, making it easier for everyone in the family to participate. Active Juijitsu is a shining gem in the world of martial arts. Their family-oriented and community-driven values, along with their exceptional kids' classes, immaculate facility, and the fantastic people it attracts, create an unparalleled experience. Trust me when I say that you will not regret becoming a part of this incredible Juijitsu family. I give my highest recommendation to Active Juijitsu - they truly deserve it!
As a member for the past seven months, I've had a very positive experience with everyone being friendly and helpful. The coaches stand out for their approach of explaining the concepts and intentions behind techniques, rather than just demonstrating them. This approach has proven to be very helpful for individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
Absolutely fantastic atmosphere and programs. If you want to be fit and learn bjj look no more and join. I did it and love every training! Professor Luiz Rosa is a wonderful and super friendly instructor 👏
Active Jiu Jitsu has been a marvelous experience for our whole family. We have met new and interesting people that have become friends. This includes trainers, the owners, parents and kids alike. Because of the nature of the martial art itself and the trainers, the atmosphere is very relaxing. The smiles on the kids faces before, during and after a class says it all. Besides the physical aspect of BJJ, I will also state how much emphasis they make in the mental part with weekly themes to help the kids be better @ life. This is NOT the BJJ gym or school where your peers are out to hurt each other. Also, this is NOT the place where you pay extra to advance belts. They take the traditional Brazilian approach of earning the next belt according to years of experience. About experience, kudos to the instructors for having the vision of admitting the young kids(10-12) in helping out with the smaller aged kids classes. When you, teach you relearn. Let's talk about the location, it's conveniently situated almost @ the corner of south Wycliffe and I-10. Lots of parking. Free first trial class... That hooked us in. For the kids classes, all the kid holidays are celebrated with fun exercises. For bdays, parents bring cake or donuts without being promoted. They have " bring and train with a parent" day. Both parents and kids loved it. A community has been built and growing. Lead by example... The instructors not only say but do their craft, and that encourages students to continue. As the movie JAWS said, "They're going to need a bigger boat" eventually. This area of Springbranch is ripe for growing. Since there is only 1 Highschool in this area that has wrestling, ppl are looking to begin or continue a variation of a combat sport. As I write this all of the faces of the ppl that attend, pop to mind. Most of the parents here have done a combat sport and see the benefits for them and their children. Since it's indoors, classes are hardly cancelled. Come on by and try it.
Great place! My son has learned a lot. I highly recommend😊
Excellent place and the coaches are very professional.
It is an artform how the professors empower the students. Definitely recommend this place!
Dropped in for a Saturday class with a friend a few months back. Great environment, good instruction, everyone was friendly and helpful, and the facility is nice. Can’t ask for much more!
Great environment for kids to learn! Instructors are patient and very knowledgeable! I definitely recommend Active Jiu Jitsu!
I recently had the opportunity to train at an excellent jiu jitsu gym, and I must say that my experience is nothing short of exceptional. The gym is well-equipped with all the necessary facilities and equipment for training, and the instructors are highly skilled and knowledgeable. The atmosphere at the gym is welcoming and inclusive, with students of all levels and backgrounds training together in a supportive environment. The instructors took the time to work with each student individually, providing personalized feedback and guidance to help us improve our skills. What stood out to me most about this gym was the emphasis on technique and fundamentals. Rather than focusing solely on flashy moves or competition-style training, the instructors emphasized the importance of mastering the basics and building a strong foundation in jiu jitsu. This approach has undoubtedly helped me to become a more well-rounded and effective practitioner. Overall, I would highly recommend this jiu jitsu gym to anyone looking to learn and improve their skills in a welcoming and supportive environment. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced practitioner, you are sure to find the instruction, facilities, and community that you need to excel in your training.
We love love love it here! My teenage daughter attends a few days a week and looks forward to every lesson! The team is so kind and helpful. Professional. Clean. Highly recommended!!
Great, my 13 year old loves it here. He's really gaining confidence on and off the mat.
This place is absolutely amazing! My 4 year old daughter started here earlier this year and loves it. Professor Rose and the entire Active team fosters a very welcoming and collaborative environment for kids to learn the basics of Jiu Jitsu. Every session hits all the checks you want to see in a martial arts studio. They’re fun, technique-driven, and filled with exercises that can be practiced at home. In addition to that, professor Rose takes time to teach her class on how to treat others with respect and when to (and when not to) use Jiu Jitsu in certain situations. I highly recommend Active JJ if you’re looking for a studio to get involved in.
Both my children go to Activ Jujitsu and absolutely love it. Our instructor is great, patient and building confidence for our 4 and 7 year old. We recommend Activ Jujitsu to everyone
A great gym, highly recommended! On the Jiu Jitsu side, I can confidently say, the training is second to none. On the other side, there isn't an aspect of my son's life that hasn't benefited from his time at Active JJ!
Best BJJ gym in Houston. Good location and infraestructure. Profesor Dentinho has lot of knowledge and experience to share with students.
Active Jiu Jitsu is absolutely one of the best gyms in Houston when it comes to instruction, retraining, and culture. Dentinho and Rose are the foundation of all these efforts, fostering an inclusive environment and embodying the idea that Jiu Jitsu is for everyone.
Very family oriented atmosphere. Great kids program. People of all ages and backgrounds. Even older folks having fun. Welcoming academy and top notch, detailed instruction.
Active jiu jit su, is the best place for our children to learn self-defense and motivation. My son has ADHD and suffered from bullying at school, we could no longer find answers to help him and thanks to his Psychologist who recommended this place to us, my son trusts himself. My son has improved not only emotionally, he has also found a place where he has real friends, professional teachers who support him in any step, today he has 9 month since he started in Active jiu jit su.
Active Jiu Jitsu is an excellent gym for anyone interested in BJJ. Professor Dentinho, a world-class instructor, creates a friendly and safe environment for all levels, whether training for hobby or competition. I started with Dentinho and Rose in Feb of 2016 and continued with them when they opened AJJ. I've received excellent training, made lasting friendships, and look forward to many years to come developing my skill-set through the help of my professors and teammates. Highly recommend AJJ to anyone looking for top-notch instruction, one of Houston’s best!
I literally couldn’t say enough good things about Active Jui juitsu. This is not just a business this is a family 💗 they were so kind with my son. At first he didn’t want to do it and they allowed us to keep taking him for him to watch & keep getting comfortable. My son now loves going to class and looks forward to seeing the coaches. The feeling we get when we walk thru is a feeling of family and for that we are grateful. 🫶🏼
My son is very happy to practice BJJ. He loves all coaches and the way they teach him - respect, hard-work and repetition. Very good club to start wrestling for all ages.
So much father that a bjj academy. Principles and values taught to kids are incomparable
We starter at Active Jiu-jitsu last September 2022. Both of our kids LOVED it and have been learning self defense skills ever since. This sports really prooves that no matter how big or small a kid can be, they can learn how to control their body and somebody else if they need to protect themselves. The coaches are GREAT. We had gone to at least three similar places and we didn't see the discipline, attention grabing instructions (so needed for kids), practice time (to put into action the lessons) and the monitoring of kids to ensure they do the movement properly. We are very very happy here and thanks to Professor Rose and Coach Zein, for providing a safe and constructive environment for the kids. This is a sport for life!
Great place to train, my kids love it there! The instructors are super nice and friendly. I highly recommend…👌🏾👍🏾
My daughters have been training with Professor Rose and Coach Zain for two years. They have shown great improvement not only in their skills and strength but with their interpersonal skills! I would recommend this gym to all parents!!!
A fantastic group of people building a community around jiu-jitsu. They have classes everyday and have made my daughter feel extremely welcomed. I highly recommend Active Jiu-jitsu!
Amazing environment, for all the family, an incredible art that is really a lifestyle!! Highly recommended for kids and parents !!! Come try it and fall in love with it !!
Great school for anyone looking to learn and train BJJ. Everyone is very welcoming, and open. Family environment. Perfect place for both competitors as well as first timers!
I had no combat sports experience when I started going to Active. I’m now on my fourth month and haven’t looked back. The leadership is world class, the environment is competitive but respectful, and everyone wants to see you succeed. It really is a team. Active is the premier gym in Houston.
My cousin introduced me to jiu jutsu in December 2020 and I cannot be more grateful that my first experience was here at Active Jiu Jutsu. Not only are the instructors truly masters of the art but they way that they teach is approachable and learnable. The community they've created here makes you feel welcomed and comfortable. So if you're looking for a place to learn, advance or just recreationally, this place is the place to be.
Amazing gym. From day one everyone was very welcoming and friendly. Very hands on. I highly recommend this gym.
I can't say enough good things about AJJ. Everyone from the Professors and trainers to fellow students are all supportive, knowledgeable and willing to assist students. Hours are wonderful and they make you feel right at home.
I’ve been doing jujitsu for a couple months now and it’s honestly the favorite part of my day. When I first came I was really nervous and scared but everyone here is so nice and welcoming. You learn so many amazing skills and meet so many different types of people. For example I’m 25 and I’ve always lived in Houston, and then there’s people who are older/younger and come from different parts of the country, or there are people who are about to leave the country & want to learn a couple of skills. There’s even kids who are barely about to enter high school and their parents went them to learn self-defense. Everyone here has a purpose to grow no matter their age or where they’re from or where they’re going. They even have boxing classes here which are amazing as well ! All in all, I started with going to an hour class but now I contribute two hours or more of my day here because I enjoy it that much! Honestly it was the best decision I made when I decided to look for a new hobby
First 2 classes were amazing. Everyone is safe and want to teach you as you go. Highly recommend this gym.
Active Jiu Jitsu is the place to go for the best Jiu Jitsu instructional and rolls. It's more than just a Jiu Jitsu gym it's a tightly bonded family and I was welcomed with open arms. I couldn't have visited a better gym while in Houston.
I have been taking classes with Professor Dentinho for about 8 months now and I have loved every minute of it! He does a great job of breaking down each week into a different subject and incorporates ways to build on it. Him and Professor Rose are great instructors and everyone that goes there is super helpful and encouraging. I would definitely recommend Active for anyone looking to start jiu-jitsu or that has been training for a while.
Good staff and good instructional training
I traveled to Houston for work from Ohio and did an Intermediate class as a drop in this week. I felt like a long time member after 5 minutes. Everyone welcomed me…the blue belt I rolled with was super helpful and cool. The place has a great vibe and obviously world class instruction. Thank you Active BJJ family…I can’t wait to visit again.
I’ve been a member for 6 months. I love Prof Dentinho curriculum. Plenty of classes at convenient times. He focuses on concepts and intentions behind techniques rather than just demonstrating a technique. We incorporate positional sparring to get more live reps in. And finally I love the gym culture. Family and camaraderie focused. Highly recommend.
Stopped by for a no-gi class while in town. I was very impressed. Professor Luis invited me in with open arms when I contacted him the night before arrival. The gym was immaculate and professor Luis arrived early to even clean the mats one more time (you can tell he takes pride in his gym and has great attention to detail. Everyone was super friendly and the instruction was great. Solid competitive rolls. I hope I get to come back.
My younger brothers both have been at Active Jiu Jitsu for almost a year now and they’ve fallen in love with the sport. They’ve both grown so much and learned a lot over the course of the last year. The instructors are amazing and there will always be great communication with everyone as well.
This place is wonderful, the place is clean, the Proffesor’s there are amazingly kind, and the people there are very welcoming and respectful. I’ve been training here for 7 months now and it’s been an amazing an amazing experience, I’ve learned so much.Thank you AJJ.
I have been training at Active JJ since the open, before that, training under professor Luis (Dentinho) since I was a blue belt. Now I am a brown belt under professor Dentinho. He is a great professor, always willing to help when you have questions about something that I missed during the class. Now have my son training there too, and in the beginning he was very shy and now he always excited to go train with me every Saturday and we spend the whole morning together the at the Active Jiu-jitsu. Great environment and the energy is really very positive.
My Grandchildren recently started Jiu-jitsu. Professor Rose is amazing with the boys. They are learning a wonderful skill, which is building their confidence. As a grandparent it is nice to visually see a transformation based on hard work and dedication. Looking forward to this journey with Active Jiu Jitsu as they continue to teach them.
As someone who had never tried Jiu Jitsu, this gym was very welcoming to us. Everyone is super friendly and loves to help! We love going to this gym! If you're new to Jiu Jitsu, this is the place for you!
My two sons have been going here for just over two months. I have seen a huge improvement in their confidence both on and off the mat. Professor Rose is a great instructor. Highly recommend.
Friendly and family-oriented gym! Instructors are awesome. Great place to get started in the sport of jiu-jitsu!
Just moved here from SoCal and this place has become my new home. Great community of people and high level instruction by Dentinho and Rose.
My son has been taking classes here for a couple of months now and the coaches are very personable and patient. The classes are a good mix of instruction on technique and practice and are both fun and challenging. I really like the focus on respect and self discipline. It’s a great studio!
Active Jiu Jitsu has been an incredible place to train at. The quality of the instructors is so high that every class you are receiving multiple time world champion level instruction. I’m so glad my wife and I joined active we have been extremely happy and satisfied with our new team :)
Professor Luiz Rosa Jr. has a wealth of knowledge regarding Brazilian Jiu Jitsu techniques, concepts and history. Training regularly has kept me physically fit, helped my patience and improved my attitude overall.
Fantastic Coach and gym, the BJJ here is top tier high class. I really appreciated the hospitality of the Professor and people in the gym.
As a decades long experienced martial artist, I loved this establishment from day ONE. The environment is family oriented and friendly, yet the level is solid and so are the teaching progressions. They are very organized and technical. I signed up after the trial session, NO BS. The best I've been in H-town. Much Love and Respect. HIGHLY recommend this family
Jiu-jitsu makes me happy in a way that nothing else can! Before I joined Active Jiu Jitsu, I was so tired of my old workout routine. Jiu-jitsu is so much more fun AND it's great for my body. Since joining Active, I've been more confident in myself, I've learned a lot, and I've made some great friends. This gym is very welcoming to anyone, and I always feel safe and respected. 10/10 recommend!!
If you are looking for a fun and safe environment for you or your kids to learn jiu jitsu, then Active Jiu Jitsu is the best choice in Houston. Professor Luiz and Rose are exceptional instructors who beyond just being tremendously technical practitioners, are able to convey their knowledge in a precise and thorough manner that students can easily follow and retain. Regardless of your skill level or goals (MMA, hobbyist, competition, etc) you will find a welcoming and supportive environment at AJJ.
A really great jiu jitsu studio, warm and friendly culture, knowledgeable and dedicated instructors, and convenient. Very happy to have Active Jiu Jitsu!
Our first time training in BJJ and we’re extremely lucky to have found Active Jiu Jitsu. The professors and practitioners are all amazing and very helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone who’s even curious about what jiu jitsu is all about.
Professor Luis (Dentinho) Rosa is very knowledgeable and is very detailed oriented. He takes the time to make sure you are understanding the technique. Active Jujitsu is a family friendly environment with great training partners to workout with.
I’ve been training with Professor Dentinho for almost two years now. Have had nothing but a great experience at Active: excellent instruction, good people and culture and added benefit of getting great workouts every class. And Professor Rose does a wonderful job with the kids. Highly recommend Active to anyone interested in jiu jitsu. Oss!
Really enjoy the school and environment. Students are disciplined and humble and focused on learning the art not just being tough guys and gals.
My son loved this place from the very first class! They worked with him at his level/ability and he felt comfortable to try new things. He has gained so much confidence and strength too!
My three daughters have been doing jiu jitsu at Active since they opened. They love the classes, and I think the program is great. There is a good mix of fitness and technique along with respect and discipline. And Professor Rose does a great job of making the classes fun for the kids. I also like that they have classes every day of the week since we have a busy and ever changing schedule. The gym is run by a great family, and it is a very family friendly atmosphere.
Myself and my two little girls(3 and 4) have enjoyed this family friendly, relaxed environment. Along with the fair monthly dues, there is plenty of opportunities to get training led by enthusiastic and caring instructors. I would recommend this gym to adults just starting out or with experience of any level and , of course, children of any age.
Great and super knowledgeable instructors in teaching Brazilian jiu-jitsu and they have accommodating class schedules for the beginner and advanced pupil.
Over 4 years back I came to the point where the same old workout was boring. At that time, I was 54 and over-weight and decided to try something different. I had serious doubts since I was older but Dentinho and Rose were very encouraging. I took the risk and signed up and discovered that BJJ as a sport was lots of fun and challenging. I met a lot of new friends and lost 35lbs. If a 58 year old man can do it then there is no excuse for anyone else to not try. I believe in life we have to take risk to improve our quality of life. I would strongly recommend this school to anyone who wants to improve their health and well being and meet new friends.
I have 2 toddler girls that attend here. Jiu jitsu class is the only thing that gets them really excited (they also take swim class and ballet/dance). I also attend the adult self defense class. Both masters (kids and adult class) show passion, respect, and discipline in their teachings. And that spills over to their students. Attending Active Jiu Jitsu is one of the best decisions I’ve made!
Amazing Bjj in the energy corridor , great instructors , great training partners 10/10 would recommend!!
Had tried other martial arts places and were disappointed with large classes and poor instruction and then we found Active Jiu Jitsu. The classes are small, Rose does an AMAZING job keeping kids attention, making it fun, increasing athleticism, and teaching them solid applicable skills. My son really enjoys it and I enjoy watching!!
Best Jiu jitsu gym ever. Everyone treats me so well and help me when struggling, and the instructors are very good. They are always helping.
Great instruction. Positive Energy. No Ego. No cult atmosphere. Perfect learning environment. Something for everyone here too: kids classes, self defense, basic jiujitsu, and competition training. Worth trying out to see if it's the right fit for you.
Best gym in Houston. It is a great way to stay healthy while also making friends. The staff is amazing and the people training with you are not trying to make you look bad or hurt you. I highly recommend joining!
Our son just started here and is really enjoying it! It’s a good, hard workout and the instructors are patient and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.
Professor Dentinho and Rose are world class BJJ instructors with years of experience. Dentinho has really dedicated him self to master the art of teaching Jiu Jitsu and his wife Rose has a great kids program, whether you want to compete at the highest level of the sport or you are just a hobbyist this is the place to train. Great environment and the best Jiu Jitsu family in town.
Incredible instructors with friendly and chill environment! Been doing bjj on and off for 10 years and I'm amazed how much fundamentals and new details I'm picking up every class! Everyone training there is friendly and welcoming. I can't be happier with this new home!
My daughter loves coming here! Professor Rose is great. Would highly recommend!
I love the place! It’s a very friendly environment that makes Bjj much more fun and easier to learn. Great professors with a convenient schedule, the gym is Active all day!
Amazing academy! Training here with my son for some time now and not just the environment is great but excellent professors with so much patience with the new ones; definitely the best Jiu-Jitsu school in Houston!
I highly recommend this gym!! Amazing staff, amazing people and great way to challenge yourself to gain personal growth and learn how to think under pressure. I came across this place online and it was also suggested by a friend of mine and to be honest it has been one of the best decisions I’ve made in a long time. I’ve never trained in my life before and I’m 25 lol so before joining I was intimidated by being a noob and getting beat up real quick. But once I started training from day one I realized I was completely wrong and instead I found myself in a really welcoming environment with very friendly people that would not judge or make you feel inferior just because you’re unexperienced.
Congratulations to the new location for Professor Luiz Dentinho and his wife Professor Rose! If you want to learn the real & pure art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and more! Then come to Active Jiu-Jitsu ! I have been training under Professor Dentinho for almost 4 years! Self defense, sports Jiu-Jitsu, no gi, gi , kids programs , MMA and more! Come get active!
I have been training with Profesor Eduardo Dentinho for about 4 years now. He’s technical understanding of the fundamentals and advanced application of Jiu Jitsu are outstanding. He’s also the most humble and down to earth professors I have experienced in my 6 years of training. His teaching style is very clear and we are always having fun in class too which is very important for me. He creates a very inclusive culture where world champions and small children feel comfortable training here. No matter what your fitness or martial arts goals are, there is literally something for everyone here at Active Jiu jitsu so feel comfortable taking a class and see if it’s a good fit for you as well.
Great place, owner seems to be a very nice person but the guy who teaches the class thinks he's tough by trying to embarrass paying customers who are there to learn. This business won't make it with that business model. I'll take my money elsewhere, I know where my job is at.
