This Taekwondo is the best one in the DMV area, and I know this for sure prior to my other experiences here in VA. The instructors here are amazing, they know their curriculum extremely well and they have this special way of teaching that you would never get bored of. Every day I look forward to come here and train!

My daughter has been coming for the last 6 months. It’s been a fun and rewarding journey. She loves it and has fun during class. She has also learned to be more disciplined as the coaches instill that into the students. Would definitely recommend.

Mrs. Sanchez is an amazing teacher who is very dedicative and devoted to the kids. She goes above and beyond for every single student. My son loves her and has improved so much since starting class here. I 100% recommend enrolling in this school.

My whole life I always felt like the odd one out, I stand at 6 feet and muscular so I never looked like the rest of the girls and it made me insecure, I've always been ashamed and embarrassed of my size and weight but the first time I went to Action Martial Arts I immediately felt welcomed. It was a sparing class and people were so nice and caring, and when I kept going there were some frustrating moments but my amazing instructors made me feel seen and understood and they made me feel special, powerful, and confident in myself, and to have people do more than support me of my goals they gave recommendations, admired and honored what I want to do and make me feel even better by helping me realize my worth. Ms. Sanchez and Mr. Evans are the best instructors I've ever had out of all of the activities I've ever done out of my life and I'm so incredibly grateful to know those people.

Outstanding martial arts school, highly recommend it to anyone that is looking for martial arts training, fitness, and/or personal improvement. We tried 4 other Taekwondo and boxing schools for our son and this was the only one where we have seen results ... amazing results. Our son's discipline, attention, and respect have all improved dramatically since starting at AMA ... and he's gained the martial arts skills that allowed him to earn three 1st place finishes and one 2nd place finish in sparring and forms in martial arts tournaments so far this year.

This review is for all the parents/ guardians looking for an after-school program. Look no further! Our journey started 1 1/2 years ago. We took both of our boys in for the free trial. After their first class, the boys fell in love! We decided to sign them up for the 6 month membership. With their dedication and hard work, they were hand selected to join the Elite Team that fall. Since then, they have competed in 3 tournaments. Ms. Sanchez makes each class soo enjoyable that my boys wish they could live there!! We can't thank Ms. Sanchez and the instructors enough for welcoming us in their home and making it our new home.

My family and I have known Mrs. Sanchez for nearly a decade; we enrolled our son when he was 6 and have seen him grow alongside Action Martial Arts. Mrs. Sanchez, Mr. Evans and the rest of the team are excellent and dedicated instructors. They push students to be the best they can, and encourage growth every day, not just in the martial arts area, but in other aspects such as school and home life. The curriculum is rigorous and challenging, but as they say - you can't get thick skin without being burnt. The work ethic and responsibility I have seen my son develop under the tutelage of Mrs. Sanchez and other instructors is inspiring. I truly believe Action Martial Arts is the best martial arts school for miles around if you want your child to not just practice the art of Tae Kwon Do, but gain a family in the process as well.

Back in 2021, I was worried about my son’s Taekwondo when we have plan moving from Watertown, NY to Woodbridge Virginia. That came true we didn’t find a good Taekwondo school. July 2021 to 2022 we took our kids multiple taekwondo places but they didn’t like. Finally, in August 2022 we found Action Martial Arts, which makes our dreams true. My son enjoyed every class. I don’t find the right word to thank to Ms. Sanchez. She really motivate and energize kids at all the times, her positive attitude guidance help kids be an example.

I am extremely pleased with my son's experience at Action Martial Arts & Fitness. Mrs. Sanchez is a wonderful owner who is truly devoted to the kids. Her dedication and passion for teaching Tae Kwon Do are evident in every class. Mr. Evans, the instructor, is excellent at working with my son and helping him progress in his martial arts and kick boxing skills. I'm grateful to have found this place, and I couldn't be happier with the quality of instruction and the positive environment they provide for the kids. All the instructors are amazing! I've studied at Action Martial Arts since 2017. The school has outstanding instruction and the staff care about students and student growth. My initial intention, and still an objective, is physical conditioning and I'm on track with that. I've also taken advantage of opportunities to learn weapons (sword, nunchuks, bo staff and kamas) and compete in tournaments. The head instructor, Ms. Sanchez, not only motivates students, she stresses that students learn to motivate themselves not just with Taekwondo but in all areas. I am very pleased with my association with Action Martial Arts.

Action Martial arts is a great Taekwondo studio. Ms Sanchez truly cares for the students. Her and the staff have been working with my son who is autistic for almost 5 years and have seen him grow tremendously. She is a positive influence on my son and the entire school. Definitely recommend.

Ms. Sanchez and the AMA team are the best Taekwondo studio in Woodbridge! My son has been attending AMA since he was 4 and is now 9! Unlike others, AMA is not a belt factory you will earn the belt you are wearing! With both competition and recreational teams, you or your child will have opportunities and learn skills that are unmatched. After 5 years of watching my son grow at AMA, I also joined last August and have reached many of my goals and am so motivated to keep going and earn the next belt! On top of the highly skilled training AMA is a big family, many of us have become lifelong friends and often hang out outside the mats! Thanks team AMA!

My son and I have been attending classes for more than five years at Action Martial Arts. The instructors take special care to ensure every student is learning the proper technique. Each belt level is truly earned, not given. But the people at AMA are not just your instructors and fellow students, they are family. Don’t know what we would do without them.

The instructors are so great with the kids and they really care about the progress they make at AMA, at school, and in their lives! I attended Action Martial Arts classes for a little under 2 years, from about May 2019 to December 2020. This is a truly great place. Ms. Sanchez really helped me build confidence within myself helped me to discipline myself more. Also helped to condition myself mentally. Just want to say this is a GREAT place to go to if you want to learn Tae-Kwon-Do. 10/10

This program has been very impressive to our family and especially our 6 year old grandson. They are professional and very concerned about the sucecess of all their students. Ms. Sanchez and Mr. Tyler have really added to the confidence and enthusiasim of our grandson. This is a great program.

Absolutely love this place! Ms. Sanchez and all of her team are amazing and friendly people. They give each class their all and do an amazing job with our kids. Fantastic place. Ms. Sanchez and crew are professional, motivating and respectful. It is a wonderful place to learn all aspects of taekwondo and makes you feel like family. She teaches the children how to set goals, stay motivated and follow through with their plans, not only in taekwondo, but in school, home and life. Our boys have benefitted greatly from her life lessons, inspiration and physical workouts. The boys have been attending for 3 years and even Dad accepted the challenge to participate. Ms. Sanchez will challenge you, motivate you and make your proud of yourself. You will earn your belts here. These people are the real deal.

This place is great! My son started over a year ago at 6 years old and he has grown tremendously with the guidance of the AMA team. They help when help is needed to learn and they encourage further development of current skills. They believe in what they teach and live lives that prove it. What you see is what you get. Nothing hidden, nothing unexpected. What you get is by far more than what you pay for. Students get pushed hard to do better, be good people and practice. It is a development of life long skills that can be used in Tae Kwon Do and everyday. AMA is a team that doesn't expect any more (or less) than what they are willing to give themselves. They are active in the community and promote anti bullying. We recently moved across the county and still come to class at least 3 times a week because we love what AMA stands for and how they treat everyone like family.

My daughter has been attending for 3 years. The teachers give helpful feedback and coach her to be an excellent athlete. My daughter has won multiple tournaments because of their instruction. They also care about her as an individual and encourage her to excel in school and be responsible at home. My daughter loves her instructors. I love Action Martial Arts and highly recommend it.

We absolutely LOVE Action Martial Arts! It’s not just a TKD school, it’s a family! Our kids do not learn only kicks and punches. The mental lessons they learn far out weigh the physical ones. They learn respect, honor, responsibility, self discipline, focus, self confidence, and socialization skills. All of that as well as self defense, stranger danger tactics, bully defense, and much more. Not to mention that’s on top of the normal Martial Arts! The amount of time, effort, and love they devote to these kids is simply astonishing! Especially because they do not just hand out belts, you HAVE to earn them! Action Martial Arts definitely goes above and beyond the average school and sets the bar exceedingly high! We’re so lucky to have found such a gem, and even happier to be a part of the family. ❤️

Great instructors! Solid curriculum; you earn your belts. Great for kids and adults. I started when over 50. I have more energy and generally feel better though I do feel sore the day after some of the more rigorous workouts. Two of my kids started in the Warriors program and are both in the Juniors program now.

I started training at AMA about a year after my daughter started. The instructors are talented and dedicated, the training is tough but rewarding, and the other students are supportive. The physical and mental conditioning are a great break to whatever else you have going on, regardless of your fitness level or age!
