Great atmosphere at Absolute. The thing that really sets it apart from other gyms is the knowledge of the Head Instructor Rob. Not only can he teach you the move, but also specific details and principles you won't find anywhere else.

I started training at absolute about a year ago, I did a little BJJ at another facility right before Covid trying to reignite my passion for grappling from wrestling when I was younger. The facility wasn't exatly what I was looking for. I heard of Absolute from a buddy I worked with, & since I started training at here not only have I have gained so much knowledge in jujitsu. I've won a tournament, & found a family I can train with and rely on for support through my journey on and off the matt. Professor Rob is a straight shooter, & is the most technical coach I've ever seen in my grappling career. He has trained professional fighters, UFC fighters AKA Court McGee, to multiple world campion BJJ Athletes. I am honored to train under him & call Absolute my family, & teammates.

I started training here a few years ago just by chance. Utah was not my favorite place. Yes, it is very beautiful, but I intended to leave after college. I now may never leave and it is hands down because of the community at Absolute. Professor Rob has knowledge that never seems to end and I have done way better than I ever did in the little I wrestled in high school. I have gained confidence, friends and skills. Can't name a place I would rather be.

Professor Rob Handley is a wealth of knowledge in bjj and all things martial arts. The environment at Absolute is friendly and welcoming. I would recommend absloute mma to everyone wherever you are in your martial arts journey. After 11 years away from mma competition, I recently competed again at age 42 and won. I have Professor Rob and all the awesome training partners to thank. Come train.

I’ve been training at Absolute MMA for close to 4 years now. I mostly train Jiu Jitsu but they have other martial arts like MUAY THAI, (KICK BOXING) Judo and self defense. (They have an amazing linage as well that spans from the original creators of jiu jitsu under Grand Master Flavio Behring! Look him up!) Any of these training disciplines are highly effective for self defense but they also will train you for competition if you want to! I’m always amazed on the quality of martial arts you learn here. From the start I’ve always felt welcomed from every one at the gym! The owner and head instructor Rob has a vast knowledge in all types of martial arts! I’m not sure if you can find many guys like that nowadays. Besides being extremely experienced and knowledgeable he’s also a great human being, has always made me and every one in the gym feel welcome from the beginning. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Everyone of my friends that have joined with me have loved it a stayed! If you’re thinking of starting any where this place is it. Ps Take my word for it. I started with zero experience.
