My 8-year-old son has been attending this Jujitsu class, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Beyond teaching martial arts, the instructor instills valuable life lessons—respect, confidence, and standing up for oneself. He emphasizes that bullying is not tolerated, whether as the bully or the victim, and gives the kids the tools to handle real-life situations with confidence. At first, I was nervous because my son isn’t the "fighting type," but he absolutely loves it! He looks forward to every class, and I’ve already seen a positive change in his confidence. Highly recommend this program for any parent looking for more than just a martial arts class—it’s character-building at its best!
Friendly, warm atmosphere. The people there are great and very welcoming to new students. Paulo is an excellent teacher, making sure to know each of his students and how to make them stronger. Definitely recommend!

AZBJJ is a gym for the entire community of Weston to enjoy the family aspect of training and growing together in the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Sensei Paulo is like a big brother to all of us and is very knowledgeable in the art. He takes the time to break down every detail during drills and lessons on new moves and has dedicated his life to learning this sport for almost 30 years. He shares his passion and love for the sport with every one of his students. Adult (15+yrs) beginner classes are from 6:30-7:20pm and Adult (15+yrs) advanced is 7:30 to 8:30pm. Kids classes will be earlier in the days around 3-5pm or so. Going to be putting my two kids in the kids classes as soon as they’re of age (5 or 6 years old typically to start). They’re even going to make an awesome afterschool program for the next school year. I’ve seen him teach the kids classes as well and the children respond excellently to the way of teaching and have so much fun! Definitely my new family gym for life 🤙🏾 Come join the family! #OSS 🥋
