I recently started training at 5 Stones Jiu Jitsu in the beginning of October and could not be happier with my experience. Coach Placido is an great instructor who is not only highly skilled in Jiu Jitsu but also incredibly patient and dedicated to helping his students improve. For most gyms it may be tough to get detailed feedback from your coach but Coach Placido makes himself available to each of his students. It's easy to leave a 5-star review, when it's true... I am a 1st degree blackbelt, nothing special, but I have traveled to a zillion dojos all over the country, & a few other countries. 5 Stones is absolutely a top shelf dojo. So welcoming, professional, clean, & friendly. Great location as well. You can tell the quality of a dojo from their white & bluebelts, and 5 Stones lower belts are as friendly as they are skilled. The higher belts are professional & kind. Placido has certainly built a beautiful place upon a solid foundation, I would recommend anyone who wants to start or continue the art of BJJ, if you are in the area, check out 5 Stones! I attended the John Danaher seminar at 5Stones today but have been following Placido and training with him at SIG SAUER Academy. Placido is a great guy and talented instructor. He has access to the highest level athletes in the game and brings all of that information to his students in an effective communication style. I'm looking forward to visiting here again soon. The team at 5stones was all so welcoming and happy to be on the mats!

Very high level technical jiujitsu with safety in mind!
I've been practicing jiu-jitsu for about 16 years and recently decided to drop in at 5 Stones for their 6:30 PM class after hearing about Placido. He's not only an exceptionally skilled practitioner but also a knowledgeable and attentive instructor. I came in expecting to learn a couple of new technical details, but I left with several game-changing insights. Placido was very welcoming from the moment I arrived. His class was well-organized, and everyone I trained with was friendly. After class, he even took the time to help me troubleshoot specific areas of my game, which was incredibly eye-opening. Although I live about an hour away from Millbury, I would definitely return to visit 5 Stones and highly recommend it to anyone interested in jiu-jitsu.
