My husband had been wanting to try jiu jitsu for years. He researched places around and decided on 413. Six months later- he's down 45lbs and loving it! The thought of starting BJJ overweight and with no cardio seemed very intimidating. Picking the right gym was essential. What sets 413 apart is Pedro Rocha. He's a world class fighter with many titles, belts, awards etc. Super impressive dude and worth a google! Once the hubs tried the free intro class- he was hooked! Pedro and the other professors made him feel comfortable. They were all patient, classmates were eager to help and everyone was understanding. The gym is the perfect size. Classes are not too big and not too small so you get plenty of coaching. Treatment at 413 is a testament to Pedro. When you join 413 you join a family. Everyone helps everyone. You can trust that you are not going to get hurt. You can ease into it at your own pace. There is no pressure to compete but if you choose to- you could not ask for a better coach. I have attended one of their free women's self defense classes. It was awesome and a lot of fun!!! !!!ALSO SHOULD PROBABLY WARN YOU!!! Your loved one WILL talk/ watch/eat/breathe/dream/obsess all things jiu jitsu. Don't fight it. Just go with it. it's only a matter of time before you're drinking the jiu jitsu koolaid too.
Stopped by for a Saturday class while in town visiting family. The vibe was amazing. Pedro was very welcoming and the training was great, with no crazy or spazzy students. The facility is very clean and well kept. I definitely recommend checking this place out!
I have had my family in several jiu jitsu gyms and have never experienced growth in the game like we have here. Very professional and clean. Christian atmosphere, but it's not pushed on anyone! If you don't want to take part in the after-training prayer, just step off the mats and you aren't treated any differently after. If you are looking for a school that can do it all from basic self-defense to getting competition ready, you have found what you need!
Was in town for work. Contacted the 413 team online, and got a text back in less than 10 minutes. Clear communication and up front pricing. Joined the 6am class with Professor Joe, Mateusz, Kyle, Ryan, and Stan. Professor Joe was clear and detailed in his instructions and leading the drilling. Mateusz was patient and clear as we were drilling, helping with each detail, no matter how minor. Positional drilling was really helpful in solidifying the drills and details to help make it “real” for various positions and situations. Appreciate the openness of everyone in class and at the front desk. Super clean facility, well-organized, and excellent coaches. Highly recommended.
Professor Pedro Rocha is one of the best BJJ blackbelts in the world and more importantly he’s truly a great leader, great mentor and just a great human being. His academy is beautiful, clean and even has a shower which is really useful. Not to mention he attracts great students who have great Jiu-Jitsu and are very welcoming, helpful and kind. Couldn’t have been more blessed than to have been invited to train here by my brother Dan who’s a ⬛️🟫⬛️ under Professor Pedro. If you’re looking for the best training you can get? 413 Jiu-Jitsu is truly it for kids and adults. Thank You ✝️ Professor for welcoming me to this amazing academy I now call home. #AllGloryToGod ☝🏼✝️ ⛪️
Honored to learn from a professional world champion.
The Best Christian BJJ School!!! My daughter goes here and I will be joining too. Coach is the world famous authentic champion from Brazil and he is the greatest guy you will ever meet.
I've been to loads of martial arts gyms, but 413 Jiu-Jitsu is really something special. With Professor Pedro Rocha leading the way, it's an awesome spot for anyone to learn, practice, or master Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. The gym itself is super clean and very well-kept, which shows how much they care about students' safety and well-being. But the real standout here is Professor Rocha. This guy's a world-class athlete, and it's a rare treat to have someone of his level teaching in the Southlake/Keller area. Pedro's great with students of all ages and makes BJJ easy and fun to learn. He's especially good with kids, always patient and supportive, helping them build confidence and discipline. The vibe at 413 Jiu-Jitsu is all about respect and teamwork, making everyone feel welcome. If you're in the area and looking to learn from one of the best, this is the spot for you!
I recently had the pleasure of training at 413 BJJ Academy in Southlake, Texas under the guidance of Professor Pedro Rocha, and I must say, it was an incredible experience. Firstly, the owner and staff are extremely professional and welcoming, making me feel right at home from the moment I walked in the door. The facilities are top-notch, with plenty of space and equipment for all levels of training. But what really sets 413 BJJ Academy apart is the expertise and leadership of Professor Pedro Rocha. As a champion in the sport of jiu jitsu, it's clear that he knows his craft inside and out. But more importantly, he's an excellent teacher, patient and attentive to each of his students' needs and skill levels. Whether you're a seasoned practitioner or new to the sport, 413 BJJ Academy is the perfect place to improve your skills and take your game to the next level. I can't recommend it enough!
Pedro is an elite BJJ practitioner and professor. He cares about his students and creates a positive environment for anyone wanting to learn BJJ.
I started training at 413 recently and have absolutely loved it. The gym is super clean and Pedro makes everyone feel welcome. You quickly get the sense that all that matters is positive energy and good jiu jitsu. I highly recommend checking it out!!!
I love this place so much. Pedro is passionate and the little kids absolutely love him. It’s a perfect and a safe place to learn jiu Jitsu.
My son has been coming to this place for a month now and Professor Pedro is an amazing teacher. My little guy enjoys coming to his practice, he is learning a lot and the entire staff is friendly!
I’ve been training BJJ over 9 years and my home gym is elsewhere, but over the holidays I took some time off work and they were welcoming to have me drop in for a few classes that week. Gym is very nice and clean, great mats, positive environment and camaraderie to match. Anyone who had rolled with Pedro knows he is a world class instructor and competitor.
Pedro Rocha is the jiu-jitsu instructor here and he's by far 1 of the best professors I've had the honor of learning from. He knows how to make you better and train hard while still being friendly which is a hard balance. My bjj skills have increased tremendously since I've started training under him. You won't find too many better instructors in the DFW but you won't find any better people. Hes a stand up guy! I recommend you come check him out if you're interested in jiu-jitsu or looking for a good place to train.
World Class gym with a World Class Instructor in Professor Pedro. If your in or around the Southlake area this is definitely the place to train 🤙🏽
Excellent instruction! Everyone is extremely friendly. If you are looking to get into BJJ give this school a try.
I cannot say enough about Pedro. If you have ever thought about starting BJJ now is the time, and 413 Jiu-Jitsu is the place. Pedro is an amazing person, a great coach and a humble, world class competitor. 413 Jiu-Jitsu is a family oriented gym, and Pedro will bring out the best in you, on the mats and in life. Go, meet Pedro, check out the gym and see for yourself. You won't be disappointed.
The confidence that my son has gained since he started training with Pedro last year is priceless! He is no longer a timid player in the other sports that he plays. He is a leader - confident on the field & in his kindergarten classroom. I attribute this to Pedro believing in him & always encouraging him to be his BEST. Pedro & 413 Jiu Jitsu School is a place for everyone & someone that has become a true friend to my family! We are blessed to have Pedro offering his coaching & services to the Southlake/DFW area.
Amazing gym with amazing instruction. Pedro has a tremendous passion for BJJ and his instruction shows. Breaking down techniques that beginners and seasoned athletes can comprehend. Clean mats and great atmosphere!
