Great school. fantastic kids classes. Adlai and Nick are tremendous with the adult classes. Adlai is the owner and highly decorated instructor who puts it all together. Facilities are clean, people are friendly, and atmosphere is great.

I have only had the pleasure to attend the Women's class on Fridays, but Coach Rachael is an engaging instructor, a kind person, and has made me feel comfortable stepping into martial arts and BJJ, both of which I knew nothing about. To have a free, accessible class for women is such an awesome gift for the community. Not only is the class a great opportunity, but she is so patient and engaging with the kiddos that come to join too and their varying levels of focus. To anyone looking to try out BJJ, I wholeheartedly recommend this space.

I’ve trained jiu jitsu and judo elsewhere in metro Detroit for a few years before joining 10th Planet Livonia. The quality of instruction here is next to none. A wide range of age, schedule, and competitiveness, is supported by the culture here where everyone is treated like a member of the team. If you want to try out jiu jitsu or take your training to the next level, you will not find a better example of what jiu jitsu can do than at 10P Livonia.
Our youngest Kids 13 and 6 along with our oldest 23 and 27 have been going here for over 2 years and they love it. Everyone from owner to the staff is amazing and like family. Highly recommend.
First class and showed up at the 11am to 12pm class. Best gym for wrestling and jiu jitsu. Coaches are top notch and will work with you regardless of your skill level.
Gas asf been here for 2 years never had a bad deal or contract all you need is a membership and it's an amazing place to train I'll have days where I am in for 3 hours a day because there is so much and a strength and conditioning area as well probably the best training room in the state

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu Livonia is one of the best places to train, hands down. The instructors are dedicated and knowledgeable, offering No-Gi Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and Muay Thai, plus they’re affiliated with both 10th Planet and CSW, which adds even more depth to the training. They’ve got a spacious, clean facility with everything you need—plenty of mat space, weights/workout area, showers, and even a kombucha bar. I’ve been to their Community Day Event and an few Erik Paulson seminars here, and it’s clear they’re all about growing the art and fostering a real sense of community. Highly recommend!
There is literally no reason to train at any other gym. Its high level jiu jitsu and high level instruction with such a welcoming and positive atmosphere, you feel at home. Such a healthy hobby and community, walking into this gym can genuinely improve the quality of your life.
For me the pursuit of a Self Defense Practice has not been an easy one. I am someone who has well-being challenges and very fragile. I am legally handicap. With that said not only was scheduling of utmost importance, but affordability and a nourishing community committed to Excellence… I was not actively looking for a gym when I discovered 10th Planet! I’d been at a Coffee shop and a Participant/Instructor shared his personal testimony of challenges and sticking it through all the way to Instructor. I was invited out and the space was clean, spacious, and not funky gym smell. The schedule had times from early Am for some classes till 9p for others. The Community has been embracing my needs. Everyone developes at their own paste. No pressure to keep up or go beyond your limits. Yet you are encouraged to always step up your game. The Experience of the Head Instructor is that of Quality Leadership. Care, Generosity, and Expertise is what you can expect. I consider myself graced and honored to participate under such leadership. The Experience for me has been that of Exploring and Discovering a new home where I get to Adjust at my rate of growth without shame or comparison. Here at 10th Planet Livonia it’s about a Medalist Mindset. You don’t need to compete to be Elite!

Highly recommend 10th planet. My son has been training with them for a year now and it’s been great experience. The staff and coaches are wonderful and they offer kids classes 4days a week which allows my child to still be able to train while partaking in other sports .
I drive over an hour to get the best JiuJitsu knowledge in Michigan and it is definitely worth it!

I’ve trained at a lot of gyms, but none of them matched 10p Livonia. Clean gym, friendly, patient staff, and beverage bar. Locker rooms have showers, so you can train at your convenience. Staff genuinely cares about helping you improve, and offers a range of classes to match any martial arts you’re looking to improve at

Great coaches, great teammates and a great schedule. Very welcoming atmosphere that I wasn't expecting from a combat sports gym. They're beginner friendly while also having plenty to offer if you're coming in with experience. No contract on memberships, open 7 days a week and they also have kid's classes.

What is there not to say about this place? A spectacular training experience every time I set foot in this beautiful and clean facility. Head coach Adlai Cleveland has a lifetime of knowledge and experience. All of the students are fundamentally strong jiujitsu players and everyone us incredibly kind and helpful.

Being a lifelong martial artist can be hard to find the proper gym atmosphere. Coming back through the door and being greeted by Thom always feels so welcoming. Here at 10P Livonia we are more than a team, we are a family. Everyone here has great, positive energy. Sensei Adlai, Coach Nick, Coach Levi, Coach Conor, and many other coaches are great at explaining every detail to everyone in a way that is processed and can be applied in drilling and live rolling. I love all of their own unique teaching styles as well. If you’re looking to start training martial arts, with or without experience, I highly recommend 10th Planet Livonia.

Very legit, everyone is cool there's no egos however everyone is there for improvement making it really good place to learn and train jiu-jitsu.
I may not be able to walk on my hands across the gym but I’m definitely getting there. The owner is not ableist against non-hand walkers, simply pushing students to get better and better each day. 10/5 stars. Would recommend.
Contrary to popular belief, hand stands are not mandatory or expected, it's just a warm up.😂

Adlai and his team of instructors are highly knowledgeable, detail oriented and have always been welcoming to both seasoned and new students. I had no prior experience in jiu jitsu before joining this gym but I immediately felt comfortable, supported and encouraged. The atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming. Truly amazing coaches. You’ll find all ages, sizes and skill levels here. Cleanliness and safety are held to a high standard. 2 1/2 years later and still happy as ever! Feels like a home away from home. I highly recommend to anyone thinking about giving jiu jitsu a try. Perfect for beginners and adept alike!

This is a great place to train. Very clean, fantastic instructors, respectful and safe environment. People don’t try to injure you, they work collaboratively to improve their jiu jitsu technique and help build yours as well. Everyone here views themselves as teammates, and the support shows in the culture of this gym.
I stopped in for a morning class while visiting the area from CT. The academy was clean, modern and spacious...the students were friendly and very welcoming. Most of all, the instruction was top-notch. Whether you are just visiting or looking for a place to call home, I highly recommend 10th Planet Detroit!

Adlai and Nick are phenomenal coaches! Not only is 10th planet a superior style of Jiu Jitsu, Adlai delivers the teaching in an easy to learn and enjoyable format. He breaks things down really well and makes everyone feel comfortable asking questions. Nick is extremely detail oriented when instructing wrestling and will help you improve regardless of experience. These guys create an extremely welcoming and friendly vibe, if your around Livonia do yourself a favor and check them out!

The community here has been so welcoming, I love the relaxed atmosphere and friendly people to train with. Also, the head instructor Adlai is an incredible teacher. He answers any questions I have and gives time and attention to every student practicing.
Excellent class! Top-notch instruction! My wife and I both tried the jiu-jitsu program and LOVED it! The instructor is awesome, and the classes are so fun! My wife especially likes their separate, brand new Yoga studio! I HIGHLY recommend checking them out!!!
Not a good learning environment. The wrestling coach would leave immediately after practice, and the wrestling coach leave himself unavailable for questions. Plus they took away the drop in cost. You eighter sign a contract or you’re not welcome At the gym. Why would I sign a contract to train in an establishment where the coach doesn’t deal with answering a single question?.
