First time training jujitsu at this place. I had so much fun definitely recommend it to anybody that wants to train hard nonstop. Doesn’t have a lot of rules so you will experience what it is to train real jujitsu

Hands down best gym in Pompano. Coach Matt is incredibly knowlegable in not only high level jiu jitsu but also in the anatomy of the human body and applies that knowledge to his teaching. The proof is in the pudding: we compete and we win. The community at 10P Pompano is one of the best i’ve been a part of. We network with each other sharing our time and talents from the many trades our members are skilled and licensed in. Anyone know a plumber? A lawyer? A mechanic? A notary? A contractor? Yea we got em! 10th Planet Pompano is the best! I practiced jiu jitsu for several years in NY and after moving to Florida i bounced around a little looking for a gym where people respected their training partners, cared about good hygiene, and the instructors had a wealth of knowledge. 10p pompano has all three. There is no better, safer, cleaner gym in South Florida.

I have been doing jiujitsu for a long time and in this academy you can feel very comfortable training, sparring, meeting new people and the techniques that the coach teaches are very good!!! Amazing place to train, I've been to some other BJJ gyms in the area and none can compare to 10th Planet Pompano. Coach Matt provides excellent instruction and the methods taught here are very effective for both competition and self-defense. The schedule is very well laid out so it should be easy for anyone to attend one or multiple classes daily, lots of time can be spent on the mats learning BJJ as well as wrestling and Judo techniques. The entire gym is always spotless and the mats are very high-quality. Value is also excellent being more affordable than traditional bjj gyms, discounts are given for signing up for multiple months which is a big plus.
Have had the pleasure of training under coach Matt for about 7 months. I’ve trained at multiple gyms all over the world and 10th planet is by far the best. You can tell Matt takes pride in his work by keeping an exceptionally clean and upbeat facility.

Best place in South FL to train No-Gi. Matt is an expert (2nd° Black Belt) in the 10th Planet system and is exceptional at teaching to beginners and vets. Also, get stretched out in a movement class. You will learn rubber guard here! Super clean mats and gym as well. A/C works great too.
Whether you’re brand new or have been rolling for a while, Matt and the crew are super welcoming and knowledgeable! Amazing gym and atmosphere that will make you want to roll more and more. Couldn’t have had a better experience here and having a gym right by the beach is an even bigger plus. 5/5 definitely stop by!
This is the best BJJ gym I have ever been apart of. The community is unlike any other I have ever seen. I love that they pride themselves on the cleanliness of the gym. This has to be the cleanest place EVER! 10th planet pompano is the spot if your ever in Fort Lauderdale do stop by. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I had the best experience at 10th Planet Pompano!! Initially I was nervous because it was something new and naturally that can be very intimidating BUT that nervousness quickly went away! Matt is the best coach. He is a wonderful teacher, the dojo is literally spotless and clean. He takes hygiene very seriously which is important with Jiu-Jitsu. The crowd he has there is also wonderful, all respectful and overall great people and I think that is just a reflection of how great Matt and 10th Planet Pompano is!
I’ve been coming to 10P for 3 months now and from the very beginning everyone has been completely welcoming and supportive with learning the new techniques. Coach Matt is a great instructor and they also offer different classes like judo which makes coming here even better. I would 100% recommend coming here if you are new to jiu jitsu or experienced.

Coach Matt is exceptiona! He takes his time and really cares about each and every student he trains. Aside from being very talented, he has a deep understanding of Jiu Jitsu and it shows during training sessions. He explains things very clearly and makes sure everybody in the class understands. I’ve trained in a few gyms before finding 10th planet and was finding it difficult to improve but over the last few months I’ve trained with Matt I’ve become addicted to the sport and feel like I’m developing more and more with each session. This gym has far exceeded my expectations and I am very thankful that I found it. Whether you’re new to jiu jitsu or actively competing, this is definitely the spot to be!

Was in town for a week, came in to see if they had an open mat or if i could get some training in. Matt was super kind and inviting and allowed to me train here while I was staying in town. Super clean facility and everyone was nice. Learned a lot from the classes as well. Would recommend to anyone.

This gym is incredible I have learned so much from my time being here from Matt and all the students as well I felt safe and respected from the moment I greeted head coach Matt Walsh the gym is spotless all the time the Mats are cleaned up to 4 times a day I have trained jiu jitsu at other places for 3 years and I have learned more here within one week I highly recommend this is a 10/ 10 place and they are affordable your getting top notch coaching as well as legends dropping in all the time the likes of Eddie bravo , Vinny magalesh,Esteban ribovics ,and Richie Martinez to name a few it’s a no brainer 🤘🏽
Great place to train. I’ve been training in Jiu Jitsu for almost 8 years and the coaches here and the system they have are really top notch. The schedule they have is extremely flexible as well so it should work for most people whether they are trying to train early or late. Facility is very clean as well. Hencr the photo of us with the mops…. Highly recommend Coach Matt and the team here..

If you live in SoFlo for a while you know that 5 out of 5 is rare. However here it is. Highly recommend this place for all levels, trust me you won't feel left out even if you're a beginner like myself. My favorite thing about 10th Planet Pompano is the vibe. The community is super friendly thanks to coach Matt who sets the tone. Needless to mention the cleanliness of the place.

I visited while on holidays from Toronto. The training facility is the cleanest I have ever seen. The coach and members are extremely welcoming. Make sure to check out the rush guards, they have really great stuff. I look forward to coming back!!

I went there to try the movement and fundamentals class and Matt was great. He took care of me and my super-beginner friend. He was patient, and gave the class in English and Spanish for my friend. Really a nice place to train. Will definitely go back! (The rashguards are super nice too) 🤗

Everyone here genuinely cares about you and your growth. Jiu Jitsu is more than just a sport, it’s a way of life. Beyond the physical aspects of it, there are many other aspects as well, such as community and mental and health wellness. Without a doubt, 10th Planet Pompano Beach cares about its students. They support and encourage their students to compete at both local and high levels, as well as taking the time to adequately break down and incorporate stretching, mobility and breath-work that both benefits training and prevents injuries. If you haven’t checked them out, you definitely should because you’re not going to regret it. It is definitely one of the best places to train jiu jitsu and it is 100% no-gi. 🤙🏼

Flew in to train with Coach Matt and the 10th Planet Pompano Beach team. Everything about my experience was top notch. The gym is immaculate, footbath prior to stepping on the mats, super warm and welcoming environment by Coach Matt and the rest of the team. Most of all, the techniques and training were superb. Regardless of your level of experience: newbie to advanced, I highly recommend 10P Pompano Beach!

I did some gym hopping after moving down here and decided to join 10P pompano. Feels like home, great environment, awesome group of guys, high level. Coach Matt is really nice and knows how to teach. We constantly have really skilled coaches come in too. I’m a regular at Esteban’s combat jiu jitsu class which on its own makes it worth joining. And the gym near the beach 😎

Heather Ian Joe and Caio are phenomenal coaches/ teachers. Patient and passionate with the way they instruct each class. Each class is filled with great energy and relentless education in the art of Jiu jitsu. ( or kickboxing ). I highly recommend this gym to anyone entry level or advance. 10/10 (super clean as well.)
