Wichita has a regular BJJ tournament calendar led by the American Grappling Federation, which runs the AGF Wichita Open and AGF Wichita Championships. Submission Challenge holds Wichita events in December, and NEWBREED runs Wichita championships including a New Year Open and a spring event.
Most events offer both Gi and No-Gi divisions, and around two in five include kids divisions. Double elimination is the most common bracket format, with house rules and EBI-style overtime both used. Entry typically costs around $40–$105. November is the busiest month, followed by December, January and April.
