Lubbock has a small but regular BJJ competition calendar. The AGF Lubbock Open and AGF Lubbock Championships are the most frequent events, and NAGA, United Grappling and NEWBREED also hold tournaments in the city. SuperHero Kids has run a youth event in Lubbock.
Most events offer both Gi and No-Gi divisions, and over half include kids divisions. Around three in ten have an absolute division. November is the busiest month, followed by May.
