Everett is a regular BJJ tournament location north of Seattle and one of the main competition venues for grapplers in western Washington.
Grappling Industries is the main organizer, and its Grappling Industries Washington State event accounts for most of the calendar. The AVA World Submission Grappling Federation also runs regular submission grappling events in Everett, including AVA Throne II.
Around half of events offer Gi divisions and around half offer No-Gi, and a similar share include an absolute division. More than a third include kids divisions. Round-robin brackets are common, so competitors often get several matches per division. Entry usually costs around $30–$90. July is the busiest month, followed by May, October and June.
