Event Overview: Try Sumo!
Yama's Autumn Cup - Sumo in the Heartland
Get ready to step into the ring and embrace direct coaching from Yama.
Yama formerly known as Yamamotoyama, is one of the highest leveled former pro sumo wrestlers that coaches OUTSIDE of Japan. This is a special opportunity to train directly with a former Maegashira and two-time World Champion who has nearly 35 years of sumo experience.
If you're new to sumo or looking to refine your technique, this weekend will challenge and elevate your sumo knowledge. The Friday before the event, learn and build on sumo movements and techniques directly from Yama. On Saturday, put your skills to the test in a competitive tournament, all under the expert eye of Coach Yama. Then Sunday, expect a one-on-one conversation with Yama about your strengths or areas to grow.
