At World Star Jiu-Jitsu Federation (WSJJF), we follow the official IBJJF ruleset to ensure fairness, safety, and high-level competition across all divisions.

β’ Matches follow the IBJJF point system
β’ Legal submissions and grips per belt level
β’ Uniforms must meet IBJJF standards (fit, patch placement, hygiene)
β’ Belt rank determines time limit and allowed techniques
β’ All age groups and belts follow traditional IBJJF structureβ’ No pulling guard without grip (penalty applies)
β Masters follow the same ruleset as Adults

Beginner
β’ White belts & first-time competitors
β’ β No reaping or heel hooks
Intermediate
β’ Blue belts & newer purple belts
β’ β Straight ankle locks only
β’ β No reaping or heel hooks
Advanced
β’ Experienced purple, brown, & black belts
β’ β Reaping, heel hooks, full leg lock game
β’ π Purple belts may choose Intermediate or Advanced
β Masters follow the same ruleset as Adults

β’ Gi Division: Weigh-in is done with gi on
β’ No-Gi Division: Weigh-in is done without gi (rashguard + shorts)
