Description
This will be a no-gi round robin tournament and will be broken up into brackets based on closest 4-5 competitors in weight. Weigh-in's will be at 9-10 am the day of the event. Competition will start at 11 AM.
- Date: November 15,2025
- Location: The Fight for Tomorrow Academy, 739 n Easton road, Doylestown, PA 18902
- Parking: Park in the lot for Barnaby Plaza
- Fee: Fee to participate is $50 and must be paid at time of registration. Spectator fee is $10 paid at the door
- Weigh-ins: 930-1030 am the day of the event
- Brackets will be oranized by weight at time of weigh in to ensure even bracket sizes. ( this is a round robin tournament)
- Competition: Rounds start at 11 AM
match length
- 5-minute matches with sudden death overtime in case of a tie. The overtime period will be an automatic continuation of the match, there will be no reset of positions. First score wins the match
Prohibited moves
- No twisting leg locks, no toe holds, no z lock all other submissions are legal
- No slams
Scoring
- Take down - 1 point. A take down will be given to the person who is in top position after going from standing position to the ground. If you pull guard and accept bottom position, 2 points will be awarded to your opponent as soon as they engage to pass.
- A take down will be given to the person who is in top position after going from standing position to the ground. If you pull guard and accept bottom position, 1 point will be awarded to your opponent as soon as they engage to pass.
- 1 point will be Awarded when going from your back to a neutral standing position
- Reversal from bottom - 1 point Any change in position from bottom to top will result in two points to the competitor who ends up on top after 3 seconds of control time
- Passing to any variation of side control (includes north south) side control (requires 3 second pin to score) - 2 points
- Mount - 1 points (Requires 3 second pin to score)
- 1 point will be award for 3 seconds control from the back including if the bottom player turtles to avoid a pin or if the top person spins behind (i:e snap down or a defended take down attempt. (this counts as a pass or a take down) hooks are not needed to score from the back
- Back with hooks - will result in 1 point being given. A fully locked body triangle will be counted as a score-able control position
- There are no advantages
Decision
At the completion of each bracket, The winners will be decided on the following criteria.
- 1 - Win loss record
- 2 - If win loss record is even, The tie breaker will be whomever won the match between the two with the tied records
- 3 - In the event of more than a two way tie, Method of victory will be weighed in in the following way
- Loss- 0 points
- Draw - 1 point
- Win in OT 2 points
- Win on points - 3 points
- Win by submission - 4 points
