Our event this Sunday is completely sold out. Weβre very excited and want to clearly explain what will happen between now and Sunday afternoon, so everyone knows where they stand.
β Cancellations & Refunds
- 100% refund if you cancel until Thursday 21:00h
- After Thursday 18:00, the refund percentage will gradually decrease
- You can still cancel up to 1 hour before the event
We are transparent about this because timely cancellations allow us to make proper adjustments and keep everything running smoothly.
βοΈ Division & Weight Changes
- Division and/or weight changes are possible until Thursday 21:00h
- After that, no changes will be accepted
π₯ IMPORTANT β NOVICE CATEGORY
The Novice category is strictly for true beginners.
We are very strict here:
- If during the event it becomes clear that your level is Beginner or higher, this will result in a DQ
- If you are in doubt: register as Beginner
This is to protect fair competition for everyone.
π Brackets
- We will create the brackets on latest Friday evening
π° Event Day Schedule (Sunday)
- Doors open: 11:30 π Please do not arrive earlier β the gym is still operating
- First matches start: 12:30
β οΈ Weigh-in is Mandatory
- Everyone must check in and weigh in 45 minutes before their first match
- No weigh-in = no competition
- This also applies to + weight categories
You can see your exact match time in Smoothcomp. The Smoothcomp app even has a live countdown timer.
π¨ VERY IMPORTANT β MAT PRESENCE
- You must be present at your mat at all times from 2 matches before your own
- This is crucial to keep a good flow and avoid empty mats
How it works:
- You can already line up on your red or blue side
- Our 'matmanager' will check your name
- As soon as the previous match ends, you step on the mat immediately
β Not on time = walkover Your opponent wins automatically.
π Stay close to your mat at all times.
π Medal Ceremony
- You can do your medal ceremony immediately after your bracket finishes
π Spectators & Coaches
- Spectators welcome: β¬5 entry (cash only)
- Coaches free, according to team size. 1 coach per 4 athletes. Max 3 coaches per team.

π₯ Novice Adults
The Novice division is designed as a safe and positive first step into competition. We tested this format before and it worked really well.
- Small groups (4 athletes)
- Every athlete gets 3 matches
- No knockout stage
- Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each group
If you donβt like this format, no problem β just register in Beginner. After all, itβs all white belts.
π Competition Format
- Novice: 3 matches in a group of 4, medals per group
- All other divisions: Round robin with multiple matches
- Large brackets split into groups β winners move to finals
- Everything is round robin, except the final rounds
- Match duration:Novice / Beginner / White belt β 3:00 min Intermediate / Blue belt β 4:00 minAdvanced / Purple+ β 5:00 min

Medal ceremonies take place immediately after your bracket finishes:
- No endless waiting until the end of the day
- Instant podium photo with your medal
- Then relax and enjoy the rest of the event β or head home early

Levels (Grappling)
- Novice: < 9 months grappling, no judo or wrestling background
- Beginner: White belt, 9+ months but < 2 years experience
- Intermediate: Blue belt or 2β4 years experience
- Advanced: Purple+ belt or 4+ years experience
Weight Classes
- Men: -65 / -70 / -76 / -83 / -91 / -100 / +100
- Women: -55 / -60 / -65 / -70 / +70

- In mixed-level matches: lower-level rules apply

Refund policy:
