Description
This will be a round robin tournament!
Weights will be recorded at the time of arrival and brackets will be set based on weight to ensure evenly sized brackets
Matches will be 3 minutes regulation with one minute overtimes for ages 7-9
Matches will be 4 minutes regulation for ages 10-12
13 - 15 year olds will have 5 minute regulation time
Overtime is until tap, escape or expiration of time - riding time or escape time is not considered.
Overtime 1 begins in seated Armbar attack
If competitor 1 secures a tap, competitor 2 must also secure a tap to continue the match
If competitor 1 fails to secure a submission, and competitor two secures submission, Competitor 2 is the winner
If both competitors fail to secure a tap within the minute the match moves to round two
overtime 2 begins at back with the hooks
Same scenario as overtime one.
ANY submission is valid from the attacker, it does NOT need to be an Armbar or RNC. Attacker will have one minute to submit. an Escape is only considered if the defending competitor secures full guard, neutral, or top position. (if competitor escapes the back but is mounted, the overtime will continue) If attacker loses Armbar but transitions to a dominant top position, overtime will continue.
Overtime 3 is attackers choice.
If there is no clear winner after 3 overtimes, the match will be considered a draw.
