Located in the beautiful lake-town of RANGELEY in Maine's western mountains, THE BLACK FLY KIDS NORTHEAST BRAZILIAN JIU JITSU CHAMPIONSHIP has been New England's best tournament just for kids since 2013. CANADIAN CHALLENGERS Welcome!
COST = $85 Early Registration thru MAY 26 for both Gi & No Gi Divisions. $25 for Absolute Belt Division. Normal Registration = $100 thru JUNE 18. 3 (or more) chances to go home Champion! Spectators = $15 (8 and under Free).
SCHEDULE: (Optional) NIGHT-BEFORE WEIGH-IN = Saturday 5:30 - 7PM.
Weigh-Ins 7:45- 9:00. Matches begin 9:45. GI FIRST.
DRIVE TIMES: QUEBEC = 3 hrs., MONTREAL = 3.5 hrs., AUGUSTA/WATERVILLE = 1.5 hrs., PORTLAND = 2.5 hrs. & BOSTON=4.5 hrs.
PRIZES: Custom Medals for Gi & No-Gi, plus 10 CHAMPIONSHIP BELTS (5 Boys / 5 Girls). All BELT winners receive a FREE Registration to our next event to DEFEND THEIR TITLE.
ROUND ROBIN FORMAT
MATCH DURATION: Ages 4-12 = 3 Minutes. Ages 13-17 = 4 Minutes
LEGAL SUBMISSIONS: Armbar, Armlock, Gi Chokes, Triangle Choke, Guillotine (on ground for Ages 8+), Omoplata, RNC, Kimura & Americana. Teens (Ages 13+) can also do the Arm Triangle & "Ezekial" Choke. NO STANDING GUILLOTINES OR LEG-LOCKS ALL AGES.
POINTS: Back = 4, Full Mount = 4, Guard Pass = 3, Takedown/ Sweep = 2, Knee on Belly = 2 and Takedown = 2. NO ADVANTAGES.
CHAMPIONSHIP BELT WEIGHT CLASSES: This is an Open-Age Division contested in the GI.
Fly = < 65 LBS. Feather = < 66-85 LBS. Light = 86-110 LBS. Middle = 111-140 LBS. & Heavy = 141+ LBS. Separate divisions for BOYS & GIRLS.
*BELT CHAMPIONSHIP matches are single-elimination format.

What submissions are legal or prohibited?
