Battle I: The Opening Salvo

The Final Clash: State Championship

- Details: The season culminates in the ultimate showdown to crown the state champion.
Modified Rule Set
GENERAL RULES (ALL DIVISIONS)
- No flying submissions unless your opponent is already seated
- No jumping guard (you may pull guard from the ground, but not jump into it)
- No slamming an opponent while inside their guard
- Slams during takedowns are allowed—except when they cause an athlete to land on their head or neck
KIDS DIVISION (Ages 6–15U)
- No leg submissions (e.g., ankle locks, heel hooks)
- No pulling down on the head from closed guard or other positions
- No submissions from front headlock positions (e.g., guillotine chokes, D’arce, anaconda)
TEENS & ADULTS
- Ages 16–18 (Blue Belts Only):
- Straight ankle locks allowed
- No heel hooks, knee bars, or toe holds
- Adult White & Blue Belts:
- Straight ankle locks allowed
- No advanced leg locks (heel hooks, knee bars, etc.)
- Wrist locks allowed for adult Blue Belts only
- No wrist locks for White Belts
- Scoring System:
- 2 points per takedown, sweep, knee on belly, or guard pass.
- 4 points for mount and back mount.
- Time limits:
- Beginner Divisions: 3 minutes
- Advanced Divisions: 5 minutes
- Overtime: First to score wins.
- Referee Discretion: Submission stoppages to ensure safety.
