Event: Prism Summer Open
Date: Saturday, June 13, 2026
Location: Prism Jiu Jitsu
205 W Mission Ave Ste S, Escondido, CA 92205
SCHEDULE
• Weigh-Ins: 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Kids matches Begin: 9:00 AM, Adults begin at 12:00 PM.
RULES & FORMAT
This tournament will follow a modified Jiu Jitsu World League (JJWL) ruleset.

• Matches will be scored using standard JJWL ruleset
• Illegal techniques for lower belts and youth divisions will not be permitted.
• All referee decisions are final.
• Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification.
MATCH LENGTHS
• Kids: 3–4 minutes
• Adult White Belt: 5 minutes
• Adult Blue Belt+: 6 minutes
WEIGH-INS
• Same-day weigh-ins from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM
• Gi competitors will weigh in WITH gi on
• No weight allowance
UNIFORM REQUIREMENTS
• Clean gi and rashguards required
• No torn uniforms
• Fingernails and toenails must be trimmed
GENERAL INFORMATION
• Competitors must be ready when called
• Failure to appear may result in disqualification
• Coaches and spectators must remain respectful at all times
• Divisions may be combined at the organizer’s discretion to ensure competitive brackets
