Pit Boss Grappling exists to support our community and work together to elevate our sport.
Our goal is to be a standout organization that promotes growth by providing:
- Friendly, affordable, & well-run competition opportunities for practitioners
- Supportive infrastructure for academies
- Events that can be thoroughly enjoyed by both practitioners and spectators
Together, we are building something that strengthens our sport at every level.

Spectators will be $10 at the door. Honor System.
$20 per division, or $30 for 2 divisions. Discount will be applied at checkout if you add 2 divisions. For adults, if you sign up for 2 regular divisions, the absolute divisions are free.
ACADEMY PROFIT SHARE: If your academy would like to participate in the profit share, please have an authorized representative of the academy reach out to us.
Matches will start at 9 AM. Check the schedule the day before the event to see your start time. Please be here 30 minutes before your first match to check/weigh in.
Our goal is for each competitor to have at least a few of matches. We will merge divisions as necessary to ensure competitors get matches.

MEDALS:
We award Gold, Silver, & Bronze Medals for First, Second, & Third Place for each division.

RULESET
CATCH STYLE SUBMISSION ONLY RULESET. The only way to score is by legitimate submission attempts. The ref will call catch (=1 point) when a submission is set and threatened for 3 seconds or more.
3 minutes for 5-13 years
4 minutes for 14-17 years
5 Minutes for Adult Divisions

FOR KIDS & TEENS:
ABSOLUTELY NO Scissor Takedowns, Reaping, Toe Holds, Knee Bars, Heel Hooks, Neck Cranks, Bicep/Calf Slicers, or Slamming/Spiking. No open hand (single or double) trachea attacks. No hand smothering.
Single arm and double arm trachea attacks are allowed, but will only be counted as a submission attempt with both arms locked.
Straight ankle locks are allowed without going belly down, these are the only leg submission allowed for the kids & teens.

FOR ADULTS:
No intentional slamming or spiking.
No Scissor Takedowns or Heel Hooks for White & Blue Belt Divisions.
All Submissions & Takedowns allowed for Purple, Brown, Black, & Absolute Divisions
ABSOLUTE BRACKETS: Our absolute brackets are structured in best of belt/rank pools. This means that competitors will be paired with other competitors of the same belt/rank in the beginning of the bracket, and only the best of each belt/rank will move on to compete against other belt levels in the finals.

Be respectful. Be supportive. Have fun. This is not a world championship; it’s an opportunity to grow.

Referees will do their best to give warnings prior to disqualifications, but some situations may require immediate disqualification at the referees' discretion.
