# Main Event Combat Jiu-Jitsu Tournament
For the main event we will be running Combat Jiu-Jitsu Tournaments for -75 kg, -85 kg and +85 kg divisions. Callout to all MMA fighters and elite grapplers wanting to test their grappling skills in a more realistic scenario with the threat of open palm strikes. The rules are as follows;
Combat Jiu-Jitsu
- Rounds are 10 minutes long.
- Strikes and slaps are only allowed once one competitor has been “downed”. No strikes can be exchanged with both parties are standing
- No closed fist strikes, only open palm.
- Strikes to the face and body are allowed.
- A “downed” competitor is considered when one person has both their knees on the ground or their buttocks on the floor.
- Standing grappling will go on for 1 minute maximum after 1 minute of stand up a horn will sound indicating to the referee that the match needs to be grounded. The referee will stop the match and enforce the “Get Down” rule. Here they will flip a coin to decide position. The winner of the coin-toss can decide to be on top in butterfly guard with double underhooks or to be on the bottom.
- All submissions are legal.
- A match can be won by Submission, TKO or judges decision.
# Ruleset for No-Gi
Your NO-GI match will be submission only and no points will be awarded. If there is no submission by the end of the match it goes to refs decision. The decision will be purely based off legitimate submission attempts and aggression. There is no penalty for pulling guards.
Kids/Juvenile Round Time
4 Minutes
Beginner/Intermediate Round Time
6 Minutes
Advanced Round Time
8 Minutes
The ruleset is very similar to WNO or PGF rules.
Advance illegal techniques
- No slamming is allowed
- No neck cranks that trap both shoulders and puts downward pressure on the neck
- No “Full Nelson”
- No crucifix
- No spiking your opponent on their head while attempting a takedown
- No spiking your opponent’s head when opponent is on your back
- CAN NOT roll forward while someone is on your back
- No striking of any kind
- No eye gouging or fish hooking
- No grabbing the ears
- No hair pulling
- No holding of less than 4 fingers or less than 5 toes
- No thumbing
- No scratching and pinching
- No biting
- No squeezing or putting pressure on the groin area
- No hands, knees or elbows on face
- No slippery substances allowed on body or clothing
- No cross-face guillotine twisting the chin
- No use holding of the T-Shirt or short
Beginner illegal techniques
- All the above
- No leglocks except straight ankle lock
- No spine twisters
- No toeholds
- No kneebars
- No calf pressure locks
- No opposite RNC applying pressure on the neck
- No banana split
- No biceps pressure locks
Note: For the kids divisions, which are beginner only, the same beginner rules apply.
# Bracket Format
If your division has 4 or more competitors, the format will be single elimination. Winners progress to next match until final.
If the division has 3 competitors, then the format will be round robin.
In case of there being only the 2 of you in your division, the format will be best of three.
# Merging
If there are no matches in your division, we will move you up to ensure you are able to compete.
# Doors Open
Doors will open from 8am for competitors only.
Event starts 9am.
# Weigh-ins
Same day weigh-ins starting from 8am.
Weight tolerance of +/- 500g.
# Registrations
Normal Registration
$55 for normal registration until 27th of June 2025.
Late Registration
Late registrations allowed up until 2 days before the event
$65 for late registrations.
Registration ends 3rd of July 2025.
Absolute
For all our competitors, we have an open weight men's absolute division which you can sign up for. This division is free entry for all who have registered.
Blackbelt Competitors
Blackbelts can compete for free. If you are a blackbelt and would like to compete, reach out to us on gujbang022@gmail.com to receive your coupon code.
# Cancellation
Once registered no refunds will be possible. Cancellation will be credited towards next competition.
# Spectators
Spectators fees will be $20 cash at the door or $25 card payment.

All black belts entry free.
One coach entry free.
