Description
• Youth / juvenile/ Adult tournament with a dual round elimination.
• Kids matches will run for 3 minutes in length.
• We will be following the IBJJF rules and regulations.
• Door opens for competitor weigh in at 9:00am. Athletes meeting begins at 930am
• Competition starts at 10:00am.
• PEAK ALLOWS A 1 LB. WEIGHT ALLOWANCE FOR ALL YOUTH registered into the tournament.
• ******Kids are guaranteed 2 matches if there are 3 athletes in their brackets, 3 matches if there are 4 in their bracket and 4 matches if there are 5 athletes in their brackets. We will cap the matches at 4 if there are 5 or more athletes in a bracket.***
• There will be a Kids Group Kumite for this event. 2 vs 2 or 3 vs 3 (Co-Ed optional) for a total combined weight of around 180 lbs (2 athletes) - 260 lbs per kids teams of 3 athletes. Registration is dependant on final format and will determine the feasibility of the brackets as for adults, reach out to us and we can discuss details regarding weight limitations for your teams.
• There is no weight allowance for adults. Being under or over the weight that you are registered into will result in immediate disqualification unless you were specifically moved into a category to find matches.
Spectator Entry Fees
$20 per person (pre- purchased tickets online) for those 12 years of age and up and $10 per child 5- 11 years of age.
$25 per person payment at the door. This fee covers daytime entry and or evening super fights. 1 parent will be allowed to enter FREE with the registration of up to 2 children who are under 10 years old.
$35 per person payment at the door for super fights and our teams event which are planned for the evening after the regular tournament. If you are interested in getting on our super fight list, please email us with your details and we will contact you once we have a match.
Only 1 parent or 1 coach will be allowed in warm up area/ coaches chair to support their athletes. Wrist bands will be provided at check-in.

EVERY GYM MAY BRING 1 COACH WHO WON'T PAY ENTRY. PLEASE DOWNLOAD A FREE COACHES PASS AT THE LINK ABOVE.
Failure to download the free coaches will result in paid entry. An additional coach may be granted free entry depending on how many athletes they have competing in the event. Please reach out for more details.
• We are allowing early weight check-ins at this event. Email us at PEAK.Jits@gmail.com for more information. Call times continually update live on the Smoothcomp website are dynamic.
• You are responsible for keeping track of your call time, keeping in mind you may be called early.

• ***Where your chosen category cannot be accommodated, you will be moved to the next most suitable available category. For, Junior & Juveniles, this may mean moving up/ down an age group, up a weight or in some circumstances, merging Male and Female categories into a mixed category***

• For the Youth competitors: NO Arm triangles, no Guillotines, no Anaconda/ D'arce chokes, no Ezekiels and no Triangle without an arm in, are prohibited. In the event that a kid executes an illegal attack, they will receive a warning as well as a penalty. The second offence will result in an automatic DQ.
• ILLEGAL MOVES THAT WILL RESULT IN AUTOMATIC DISQUALIFICATION: SCISSOR TAKE DOWNS, SLAMMING, NECK CRANKS.
• All the competitors must wear uniform according to IBJJF guidelines.
• ALL kids are allowed to wear rash guards for this competition.
• Nogi shorts/ compression pants must NOT have any type of pockets as they pose risks to all athletes.
• Submissions will be allowed in all age groups/ brackets. Athletes must comply with IBJJF kids rules.
• 1st, 2nd and 3rd place athletes will receive a customized medallion, by our sponsors Alavanca JiuJitsu & Muay Thai, Bandage Sports Therapy, SQRD AWAY. Lost or unclaimed medals will NOT be mailed out to athletes. It is your responsibility to claim and place your medals in a safe place.
By registering into the tournament, you agree to give your email to the PEAK GRAPPLING collective for special promotions into the up coming events and athletic products that we provide to make your experience a fulfilling one.
